3 I...veer zaara,Munna bhai series, PST, Barfi, Kahani...all successful movies...shot in India...I wanted to add Swades too...but a teeny part is shot in USA ...

I agree on that. Dabangg brought back the trend of focussing on rural areas. That had gone out of fashion from the early 90s. We only had NRI characters or super rich characters.

Nope ...we had Lagan in 2001...then Swades...but it had part of it filmed in USA...but it was focussed on a village setting..

Actually in my opinion Sawades was presented as offbeat artistic film. Lagaan tho was mainstrem/artistic

Lagaan was epic film.

Dabangg brought old masala feel. Like 70s or 80s type set in rural area.
