ASH TO PLAY RABRI DEVI?

Aishwarya Rai in the cinematic avatar of Rabri Devi, the wife of Bihari leader Laloo Prasad Yadav, is virtually impossible to imagine. Yet, rumours floating around suggested that the glamorous diva had actually signed on the dotted line to play the character which is the main lead in Kalpani Lajmi's forthcoming project Sinhasan.
But today, where does the story stand? One, Lajmi has confirmed that Ash has been approached for a film which is, indeed, titled Sinhasan. Two, that the film is about an ambitious female politician who is NOT based on Rabri Devi by any means. Three, Ash is considering the offer for playing the role.
Before Sinhasan happens, Lajmi plans to wrap up work on another realistic film called Chingari. This one stars Sushmita Sen, and has Mithun Chakroborty in a key role as well. And no, Sush's character is not based on Rabri Devi either!
