Firstly, the story was boring and cliche, the pact with god was not convincing and I found it funny and weird. I'm not deriding anybody but it didn't click with me as a viewer. The script was weak that it was predictable in the end. Wish they killed Samar at the end with that last bomb cuz that could have changed my mind 😆

Second, it was too long. I was itching to get out of the theater and that too being a SRK fan. Music was blahh and Rahman was disappointing

Next Katrina did not appeal to me. I found her boring. Compared to her Anushka was good and she had better chemistry with SRK. Throughout the flick I was hoping somebody else played her role

LOVED the Ladakh scenes SRK was too yummy

@Bold.
Great, I got someone who agrees with me.
We've been discussing the end of the film in the discussion thread and somehow I hold the same views as you. A different ending could have made the film a better watch. Not that it was half bad, but yeah imagine, Meera's got that 108th bomb, on herself and thanks to her baseless fears, gets killed. A much much more exciting ending, isn't it? 😆

Yup the pact thing was weird, kiddish actually, but I guess when it comes to movies, your brain needs to be put aside 😆😆

I would have hated it if SRK died embracing the last bomb 😡😡😡 So I am happy with the ending, wish it was more convincing though.

Music wise, agreed, not great, but good enough, I liked Intro poetry, Challa, Jiya re and Heer.

Katrina was the downside of the movie, but I think she was quite better than her other movies.

Anyways, hope we keep getting good love sagas. I always keep craving for it 😳

Geez you have no idea how much I wanted him to die in that scene. My fingers were crossed so tight that they were hurting by the time he defused it 😆

In my eyes Meera didn't deserve Samar. Her character was beyond my understanding

You've no tad idea how much I wanted Meera to die. Her character was unfathomable! She was not strong-willed either. Akira comes, asks her to go back to Samar and Meera obliges? Seriously? Shows how gullible the character was! 👎🏼

Agreed, Meera's character was rather quite unbelievable, something we can't relate with. I wish there was a stronger reason for her rejecting Samar. The given reason was bleh

I loved Akira's character, jolly, vibrant and vivacious girl living her bindaas life

But I still dislike your idea of killing Samar 😡😡😡

I like romantic stuff but prefer watching SRK playing a bad guy more. Yeah I'm the weird kind

That poem was the only track I loved from that boring album. Didn't know Rahman could disappoint me but he did

This may sound weird Chandu but I watched SOTY during the weekend and it was more enjoyable for me than JTHJ. I had no clue who those new people were but yet it was a fun ride although it was a silly movie 😆

I was on the opposite side rooting her to be hitched to that Roger guy 😆 Gosh I felt like slapping her when she told Akira that she wasn't holding back because of Akira. That was a 'what the' moment for me

And I was thrilled when Samar pushed her in church and bounced out during the latter part of the movie when he regained his memory. Me and my best friend were cheering Samar in that scene. See I'm such a sadist 🤣

SOTY being compared to JTHJ

For me SOTY didn't click at all, no emotions, no developed love story, everything was quite patchy. Only good thing about the movie were the new dudes. I watched it for them and of course the awesome kick worthy sound track, which is at another level compared to JTHJ. Otherwise, SOTY was disappointing to me.

I have no qualms being a sadist here! Samar deserved someone better than Meera. Roger was just the guy for her. 🤣

@Bold
Exactly. It didn't make any sense. Had she was a loyal, religous person like Jamie in 'A walk to remember', I could digest this pact thingy. But it was too much asking from audience

And that amnesia bit was typical Ekta Kapoor. Somehow I can digest something like Karan Arjun or OSO but not in a Yash Chopra movie

Akira was so jovial although she was quite OTT in few scenes. But overall I loved her. My fav scene is during the bomb defusing moment where she said Samar can love him since she makes no pacts with god 🤣 That was too funny. And oh my dad went to the movie with me and he's going ga ga over Anushka Sharma now 😆
