RK talked about the Kishor Kumar & Madhubala biopic recently and it looks like that the movie is happening in 2013. Anurag also confirmed during the making of Barfi that he will only cast ranbir and katrina in the biopic. YAY finally my PUFFIN(Ranbir) & HYPERCITY(Katrina) coming together again

Buzz is that after the bumper opening and critical acclaim of Barfi!, Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu plan to go ahead with the Kishore Kumar biopic. The project has been in the planning for a few years; however he two wanted to see the response to Barfi! and then decide if they should go ahead with the idea.

Buzz is that Ranbir's dad Rishi has been pushing his son to play the legendary singer actor in the film and feels that Basu will be able to do full justice to the material.

One of the major hurdles in the film is said to the actual portrayal of Kishore Kumar and how much of the film would be fiction and fact. Work is supposed to begin on the first draft of the screenplay in the coming weeks.

after all the hard work that PC did in barfi he wants to cast katrina the one can't even speak or act to save her life. so annoying

whay cant he cast anyone alse i mean he should work with different actors ... but maybe maybe ranbir recomanded kat for this

Oh God Basu. Please don't make me take back every ounce of praise I gave you for Barfi.

Katrina Kaif as MADHUBALA? Can Kat even PRONOUNCE the name? Forget even coming close to being able to portray her. Somewhere Madhrubala is turning in her grave with the mere thought that a talentless hack will be portraying her.

Madhubala? Nooo! Should have been someone like I dunno Anushka or maybe Sonam?

I'm only hoping for Sonam since I want to see her and Ranbir haha!

Perfect ---- Katrina is good CHOICE for that ROLE ---- The first and foremost requirement for playing madhubala is ---- divine beauty,elegance and aura which KAT has ---- none of the other bollywood heroines even come closer --- \ @@@ well some might say - vidya BALAN is the right CHOICE _--- but she better portray SILK SMITA _- @@ and DISCO SHANTI kind of characters -- / @

Weirdly enough...I DO think Sonam has the LOOK to play Madhubala. Do you remember her photohoot on the yesteryear actresses? Breathtakingly ethereal are the words that come to mind.

Sonam-Ranbir have a very good chemistry as well...but the problem is Sonam is not much of an actor either..and Ranbir and her can't stand each other.

Can't imagine anyone in BW really pulling off Madhubala..😕
