But the thing is, she still has to portray Madhubala, act like her, speak like her, walk like her, be her, totally embody her, and for that - you need good acting chops. It doesn't matter if the subject (Madhubala) was bad or not, but the person taking on her role needs to emote really well to wow the audience and make them go like, "Wow! Yes! That was Madhubala!" Plus, this will be about Madhubala-Kishore's offscreen life, no? Her being a bad or good actress doesn't really have to do anything with it.

I just don't think Katrina can pull off Madhubala because her acting hasn't impressed me much. And if she does end up being signed for the film, I hope she's able to prove me wrong.

On topic I wonder how they will justified Madhubala speaking an Anglicized Hindi. Especially given that she was supposed to be from a very poor and shady background. Maybe they will say she was a maid in an Englishman's house. 😆

Btw Madhubala was ONE of the women in Kishore Kumar's life...that too for a brief period. He was the rebound for her from Dilip Kumar. So given that Madhubala's character will not have much of a role in the film.
