By the way, this whole opening a dance/cricket/acting academy is a huge scam. Most folks end up grabbing the land for their personal use. Check Vengsarkar's cricket academy land. I bet once Sachin stops playing, he will petition for land for another academy. Never mind if he can buy the stuff without any government help.

There used to be a huge open maidan in one of Mumbai's suburbs which was surrounded by low income housing. It used to be a pleasure to watch poor kids play there in the evening. There was a Shiva temple there with a big open space for folks to sit in. Narayan Rane has hijacked the whole open space, there is a monster of a building coming up there and the poor . Even the Gods are not safe in India!!

Can we make Citizens arrest and lock up Salman ?? Read this on wiki, not sure how correct this is. I mean there has to be someone who has witnessed the acts done by him, why not stand up and speak for the truth.

1)"Any private person may arrest or cause to be arrested any person who in his presence commits a non-bailable and cognizable offence, or any proclaimed offender, and, without unnecessary delay, shall make over or cause to be made over any person so arrested to a police officer, or, in the absence of a police officer, take such person or cause him to be taken in custody to the nearest police station." 2) If there is a reason to believe that such person comes under the [provisions of Sec 41, a police officer shall re-arrest him. 3) If there is a reason to believe that he has committed a non-cognizable offence, and he refuses on the demand of the police officer to give his name and residence, or gives name or residence which such officer hs a reason to believe to be false, he shall be dealt with under the provisions of Sec 42, but if there is no sufficient reason to belivve that he has committed any offence he shall at once be released. According to this section any private person may arrest or cause to be arrested a) A person committing a non bailable and cognizable offence in his presence or b) Any proclaimed offender he shall without unnecessary delay make over such person to a police officer or to the nearest police station.

NIkki.. They dont have a witness protection program in India... Everything is up for bhikau and you throw in some money and people are ready to eliminate the witnesses... People even fear to stand up and say the truth... Life has absolutely no value neither the truth has any value left... People too just go with the flow and things just stay as they are... The system is very screwed up and just one person standing up will not do anything... It shld be a mass uproar and society as a whole needs to come together... Only then things will change...

Ok then here is my next question: If India can have mass uproar for Jessica Lal, Kataria murder case etc, then why not for the person who was killed my Salman? I mean is that man's life less valuable than others ?

Not less valuable but less noticeable and less sensation-worthy. For every Jessica Lal who came in the spotlight there are a 100 such cases that go unreported.

Harish who was killed by Salman was a poor driver and he even called up the police stating that Salman had first tried to buy him off and then later that he had threatened to get him killed ...but no one paid heed.

All they are willing to write in court is that the witness is absconding and has "turned hostile" (the legal term)

Turned hostile? Really? He is lying somewhere under 5 feet of dirt or in a body of water... that is where he is... but no one seems to even lodge a missing person's report or even care.
