US has high morality really??? If that was the case there would be no Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan or Kardashians...or as a matter of fact no Jersey Shore or bachelorette.

BTW even in US actors/sports star get away easy from law. They get community service and common man will have to lose his job+jail time. Have you ever found anyone Hollywood star getting convicted for crack or snorting coccaine.

You both are right. You are right that the west has a low moral code when it comes to sex and when it comes to snorting cocaine.

At the same time God(?) is right that the west is rather strict about incidents like rape (when they come to light), murder, poaching, traffic infractions etc . They do take them through the grinder. Cases like Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, OJ Simpson (yes it is another story that he got a really good lawyer to take care of him). etc come to mind. Even Mel Gibson wasn't spared after he made racist remarks by the public. Nor were the actor who played Kramer in Seinfeld or Charlie Sheen who made racist remarks against his jewish boss...

So yes they have their own version of moral code but in terms of strict law they are rather diligent.

Kal...if you mean the implication that gay men are effeminate is rather silly...I so agree!

Exactly!! Homosexuals can be devoid of any effeminacy too.. Media portrayal of gay men is crudely stereotypical and this writer does lose credibility to generalize the whole community this way.

Well he never talked about laws. Just because judicial system in India sucks does not mean people of India have low morality.

Anyways Strict Laws are for common people in US. You make a racist remark or fail a drug test or have a DUI and then good luck finding another job for rest of your life obviously i am talking about white collar jobs here.

Thanks for bringing in Martha Stewart. She has made an empire now. How is that for low morality???

The starlets that you mentioned all got away with slap on the wrist. Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton keep breaking laws and what do they get?? 1 day in jail or 100 hours community service or some cheap publicity. O J Simpson got away free. Casey Anthony got away with murder. She will sell her story and make millions Amanda Knox just signed a 4 million dollar book deal. How is that for morality.??

And yes i will stick with my belief that even in US laws are applied differently for a celebrity and common man.

No, the comment about the article being bakhwas.

How is it bakhwas when it's all true, especially the part about Salman's murders.
