Vidya Balan has just created new standards for Actors and Actresses--yes, my faith in BW is restored--when there's actresses like Vidya who can actually get into the SKIN of the character, not let insecurities hamper her performance, and take such risky projects. Her last 4 films have been something totally unique and she has displayed so much versatile.

All who said she couldn't do a masala flick like certain gals--this is! This is the full package, and this is a new level of talent and quality. Yup, the future of BW is in good hands.

And a special hurray for Emmy--who finally seems to be getting noticed this year, when his behind show have been applauded in 2007 after Awarapan. But finally I see this so called B-lister moving into the A-lister category. Uff! This week-end was awesome. Please, more movies like these.

Yeah, the script could have been a tiny bit better--agree with RM it was a "lazy" script. But Vidya outshone all the flaws with her radiance. LOVED IT!!! More movies like these please, BW!

Yup we Indians do seem to enjoy things like Dirty picture, whereas esteemed people like tourself only enjoy classy songs like Sheila and Chikni Chameli.

Honestly saying I don't think SKJ was as vulgar as this "Ooh la la".. I like Kat because she is actually more decent than a lot of other actresses like Vidya Balan. I used to love Katrina because she used to dislike skin show as well (and because she is beautiful duh), its just that she has changed a lot now. It hurts me to see Indian public liking this because I am an Indian myself, I want Indian cinema to be decent like it used to be and want the movies to be watchable with family. Yes that's my opinion.

SKJ was after Boom. If I'm not wrong, Katrina was the one wearing a bra and seducing Gulshan Grover by rubbing her boobs in his face. and SKJ was a full on MASTURBATION song. Also, just because someone likes or dislikes revealing the body doesnt make anyone superior or inferior.

@red-If every movie was to be made to be watchable with family,then why would there be a censor board giving U,UA and A rated certificates to movies?

I didn't say Kat is superior, I just said I like Kat more! If I like someone more because of various reasons it doesn't make that person superior 😊 And about "Boom", well I don't think I have ever said it was a good decision of hers, but yeah she made a mistake and she herself knows that.

I guess you didn't get my comment, I said I want it to be... all of these movies aren't watchable with family that's why such certificates exist.

And what's with this Indian public liking TDP?What's wrong about liking a film?Why is it being steroetyped that TDP is a success only because it has A rated content?Ra One was hit.People thronged to the theatre to watch SRK.Why?Because he attempted something completely different from his earlier films.He attempted the role of a superhero and that is what made peopl talk so much about Ra One.Same with Vidya here.Most of the films she has starred in,she has been seen covered from top to bottom and with this film,she is attempting the role of a bold 80's dancer...which is completely different from what she has attempted before and because of this,people are going to watch the film since Vidya is doing something she has never done before in her career.

But every film isn't meant to be watched with family isn't it?What about creative freedom?Do people stop making novel films which aren't family oriented just because it can't be watched with family?

Oh yeah, you can totally like Katrina more, we all have our favourites :) I guess what I meant to say was, how is Oooh Lala more vulgar than SKJ? I mean SKJ is a song about MASTURBATION for chris sakes! Ooh la la is no less but really, SKJ is no less either. If I'm not wrong, Katrina wasnt wearing a burkha in SKJ. All I saw was BOOBS and ASS jiggle like jello through the song.

with regards to the objections raised against the risque content of The Dirty Picture, all i can say is GROW UP! 😆
