Can't understand this whole topic.. I thought Ash is to blame as she knew about her pregnancy and did not tell Madhur beforehand/back out from the project. I dont know why this is being confused with the lady becoming pregnant and how her husband should also be blamed blah blah

He gave them the taste of their own medicine.
The Bachchans did not give him the courtesy of a phone call before TWEETING the announcement.
He was treated just like everyone else: he learn the news through the media...
I would be pissed as hell... it shows that they did not respect him or care about what he thought...
I find that tasteless to say the least.

I think Madhur did the right thing by breaking his silence, this has not only affected him but the crew of Heroine as well. Aishwarya should have told Madhur the truth before Amitabh announced it to the world on Twitter

Ash is a very self-centered woman and I don't think she was ever thinking about anyone else, least of all Madhur and the crew of Heroine. I think she was greedy for the role so she signed it and announced it at Cannes despite knowing she was pregnant. She probably thought she could finish it before going on maternity leave and then the movie would release near the due date of the baby. This would keep her in circulation as an actress, be eligible for all award shows of the year and it would seem like she had not taken a break at all. She could then start working again and have no worries about being away too long or having to make a "comeback."

She never bothered to even think about what the director or the writers would think about having a pregnant woman with an expanding belly (and possible pregnancy related issues) playing such a glamorous role. Films get delayed all the time due to weather conditions or various problems on set or not getting the right clearances to shoot on locations. This is a hazard that happens with EVERY film. Sometimes the shots don't work out due to lighting or the sound doesn't record properly and all of that needs to be re-shot and it takes up even more time. A pregnant woman is like a ticking time bomb. Not only would she get tired easily after a few hours, what would happen if things get delayed like they usually do with films? She would be getting bigger and bigger by the day. What if she had a difficult pregnancy and had to be admitted to the hospital or put on bed rest? What about morning sickness and throwing up? She might even have a premature delivery and have the baby earlier than planned. What happens then? Everyone would get screwed again and the losses would be much higher than now and nobody would even be able to complain in such a situation.

All those things don't even mention the fact that as a pregnant woman putting on a lot of weight, not just on her belly, but her arms and legs and rest of her body too, it would be very hard for the director to show her as a hot heroine wearing slinky dresses and doing dance numbers. He would be forced to only show her face or hide her body behind furniture or use body doubles (which often ends up looking fake). Why should a director have to compromise his dream project in such a way because the lead actress lied to him?

it's very unfair to the director, writers, cast and crew for her to hide something like this and take the decision on her own that she can continue shooting even if she's pregnant. They deserved to know so they can make a proper, informed decision about whether or not they still wish to work with her. If they do, then good for Ash. If not, they could have hired someone else and avoided all these problems. To do it in this manner where the choice is taken away from them is extremely sneaky of Aishwarya.
