I'll be really surprised if Aishwarya responds. And even if she does, how is she supposed to defend herself? It's almost like she's backed into a corner where the only way to really defend her position is to talk about intimate details of her personal life and decisions she's made regarding it. I mean, yes, she can say that she had her reasons for not telling. Imagine for a reserved and private person like Ash to be answering intimate details of a private issue like pregnancy like When did she conceive, whether it was accidental pregnancy, whether she underwent IVF, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the circumstances of a pregnancy are being discussed so openly.

Yes. It is a very dicey period. At least in India, nobody divulges the news until the first trimester has passed.

Take up the challenge and start this movie with a new heroine or just move on to next one...That way the workers who have lost out on this will be compensated too...

yes, the aftertaste is horrible

but the thing is, right now, a statement from Aishwarya would make some sort of an effort from her side, to show that she does care about the incident.

To show that she is aware of what is happening to another party at her expense.

If her sasuraal thinks its so important for her to free to be pregnant without accusations, then let HER say this.

All she needs to do is give ONE statement.

And as usual, she's just sitting back and letting her powerful family doing all the dirty work.

Probably Amitabh wanted the world to focus more on Aish's pregnancy than IIFA, hence the sudden need to announce the pregnancy to the world as compared to the hush hush wedding

Aishwarya doesnt have to explain anything, she just needs to be the diplomatic one here and apologize. That isnt even asking for much a simple "i'm sorry to madhur and his team" would work WONDERS for her and this entire situation.

Honestly, Aishwarya Rai's impending apology will be the thing that makes or breaks her future career. If she owns up, says she's sorry and made a bad judgement call, and then goes on to say she hopes she will have a smooth pregnancy, thanks everyone for the support and bang bang boom she has her kid, many directors and producers will overlook her error and hire her again.

But if she stays silent, or plays victim, or bring up some BS reasoning she will be thrown out of the industry. I'm pretty sure of this.

I just feel this issue should've been resolved in a set of private meetings. The director choosing to go the public way made it impossible for Ash because she could've easily issued a public statement defending herself against the director's claims. But that ONE statement of hers will give rise to a zillion other questions which will again go back to the intimate details of her pregnancy. And NO woman in the world would be comfortable with that intrusion of privacy. Not even a superstar who is used to it because it is too intimate.
