Exactly...Even though the Oscars are not perfectly objective, they aren't as nutty as these award shows and their 7 identical awards

I remember two months ago where Hrithik and Suzanne were brought up to the stage to celebrate their wedding anniversary, detracting attention from the rest of the award function.....bs like that would NEVER pop up at the Oscars

Also, no way can the performances in chameli and kaminey mean they can do a black swan...natalie's character had so many layers and emotions...chameli and sweety were not that complex at all! Natalie deserved her award IMO, but honestly don't think kareena or PC can do something as complex as black swan...i think both actresses aren't consistent and rarely get into the skin of their characters! If anything vidya could probably do it was better!

don't agree with the bold part, b/c once again strong script and strong performances! BTW: i didn't say black swan was original, but the way the story was told was refreshing and unique and that's why it worked....a lot of good actors and good performances can be overshadowed by a weak script too!

Also, the film academy votes after the nominations come out so when ppl vote there will be a bias...and they generally tend to give it to someone (a) did outstanding like tom hanks in forrest gump, (b) someone who's been nominated many times but never wins, (c) someone who probably won't give another amazing performance like this/has finally gotten a nomination like sandy, (d) someone who has impressed ALL the critics

But I have to give credit to bollywood because they finish shooting their movie for like few months and do dancing and lots of stuff. But hollywood take their time to finish a movie....I remember the director of Black Swan saying it has been 5 years since they were working on this movie. I think a perfect movie takes it's time. Just bollywood directors needs to take their time with finishing a good movie. It can be comedy, action, romance or whatever just take your time.

But I can't wait to watch the movie so can't wait for years and years...lol

I remember in the old days in bollywood, they used do it like hollywood. Madhuri said there was a movie that she was working on for 7 years. But times have changed these days, it takes few months to finish it.

sweet coco - I find freida pinto extremely beautiful but I'm just not a fan of her because I think she's overhyped for few mintues role in the movie. She's everywhere in magazines, fashions, events, awards and she only had one movie, few mintues role. It's annoying
