oh and what gets to me is when i know how to cook, wash dishes and clean up after mysefl they look like me w/ amusement and say i dont need to do so much housework and need to focus on my studies! omfg.. seriously, im doing damn good in school and i can take care of myself...its called independence not like baccha party in india who live w/ their parents until they're married and still have baba juice given to them w/ their spouse cleaning up afterthem like theri tail feather omgfhga;ldfj..

I agree with the weight thing a lot of people staying abroad are health concious and that's a good thing. But I don't agree on what you said about children living with their parents till they get married...what is wrong in that. Being independent is okay but I don't agree with the American culture that you turned 18 so let me pack my bag and be independent. Then why don't you start that from year 1 why wait till you are 15/18. And in a middle class family the kids do help their mother in the kitchen and most of them do know how to clean up and do the dishes.

i have 15 year olds cousin who weigh almost 160lbs..😲😆😆 and you should just hear my mom..my own mom saying look at her "kini sohni lagdi.. chehra dekh kitna bada hai"..😲😲😆😆 like ma.. give me a break.. 😕😆😆😆

guys are lazy in india.. my brothers pretty lazy too.. he's been spoiled rotten.. but i can't blame my parents.. i spoiled him.. he's like 4 years younger than me..😆😆

😆 😆 😆 For the most part Indian guys are lazy...Only in some families I have seen the mother involve her son in the kitchen for the most part it's a girls duty (which I don't agree with especially now since girls also work to run a family). So I do think that duties should be shared.

It's funny how instead of discussing how bollywood movie makers should show the reality on how an NRI survives we are discussing on the menatality between NRI's and people staying in India 😆😆😆

nothing wrong w/ living at home..but being independent means putting forth effort to the home..doing chores..helping pay the bills..not just being mugal-e-azam and asking for baba juice

yea.. so true..😆😆.. all my desi guy friends are lazy to the core.. only like 4-5 of them can actually cook.. not because their parents made them but because they like cooking.. God bless the others and their future wives..😆😆

in my brothers case.. i guess he got away cuz he's the baby in the house.. had he been older.. i am sure he'd have his share of chores..
