Was my movie called Super Aadmi or Lungiman? I forgot! But it was my blockbuster film which created history on IF and beyond.

I think it's a little unfair to say she's never acted b/c she has! And I agree she's had her fair share of flops, but the biggest thing going for her are her looks(if you find her beautiful)! It's defeinitely the beauty that got her noticed and upped her international fame! But she's done some amazing roles! But whether you like her acting or movies is totally personal! I like Kareena as Geet, but I also love Ash as Paro and Nandini! People like different performances more than others. I personally didn't like Geet more than Nandini, but that's a personal preference! However it doesn't mean that Kareena can't act, those are two totally different things. Not liking a performance is different from saying that Ash can't act!

I still believe she's going to have her one more signature performance before she calls it quits. However, I don't think she's going to call it quits...she'll take a break and then come back, but she is a workaholic so she isn't disappearing any time soon!

Ash's beauty is her biggest handicap! If she was any less stunning to look at, probably her talent would have been more recognized and appreciated! Overall, I wouldn't rate her as a great actor or even one of the best we have had, but she has had her share of memorable roles and performances, starting from Choker Bali, to HDDCS, Raincoat, Jodha Akbar and even Raavan, where she is actually the saving grace in the film.

Most people write her off simply because she has always been known for her beauty! And hence the simple assumption that a woman who is so recognized for her looks need not be appreciated anymore for her talent!

Also, her personality does not help a bit! Unfortunately, we Indians (and most Asians) tend to veer towards people who appear warm and friendly all the time, atleast on surface. And Ash is anything but warm and friendly! But that does not take away what has been earned by her in the last decade and a half!

In my opinion, Aishwarya has very much achieved a lot in life and like it or not, she will always be remembered as one of India's enduring icons...if not for her acting skills, then definitely for her beauty and the fact that she put us up on the International map like never before!

Btw, there are many other actresses who are presumably far more talented than Ash and who started along with Ash in bollywood, but where are they today? The very fact that Aishwarya has not only endured but flourished in bollywood for more than 15 years proves her very stardom!

PS : I am so not an Ash fan, but it does rile a bit, when people constantly put her down!

Well there are different ways of measuring success. But my POV on this is that NO, Ash has not achieved it all. I think that would be an exaggerrated statement.

I also think it's unfair to say that Ash cannot act because she has given performances that have shown she can. However, I would not say that she is the best in Bollywood and at times I do think that she has been overhyped.

And getting international projects, endorsements etc etc does not mean that she has achieved everything. I mean, look at those international projects. I don't know about others but none of them were worthy of appreciation IMO. Well, barring provoked because that was a bold subject and based on a true story. But I prefer Ash in Bollywood rather than Hollywood because I don't think she can emote very well in the English language.

Finally, I do think that the lady has talent and I admire the way she is handling her career along with her family life. She may not be the only one (Kajol is another classic example) but it's nice to see women juggling their work and family life as well in Bollywood, considering actresses are at times overlooked after they tie the knot.
