But we all have ideas about what a star is like, don't we? I know I would be shocked if, say, a rational guy like Aamir suddenly becomes a bhakt of some "baba", or a cynical person like Naseeruddin Shah falls for a really young woman and leaves his wife. It could happen. After all I don't know these people personally, but it would still be contrary to my impression of them. The thing is, I am not invested enough in these people to actually come and post on a forum about my shock and disbelief, but there are people out there who are. What is the source of this investment I cannot say.

Well, maybe to you, Riya, it seems like SOians and Shahid fans think of him as Prem, but I don't think so. Yes, we get really shocked when he says something scandalous simply because it is not in his nature. We all know Shahid is clever, but he's not one to shoot off blunt statements at the speed of light. Most of them though know that he's not some kind of God or perfect human being. It's just that, as fans, they go crazy over every Shahid-related thing...like most normal fans do. lol

Im a huge shahid fan..love that dude to death...And i think of him as shahid not prem or whatever..! He clever...and different..! And her personality is really good..and i like people like that very straight forward..!

Yes the fans would actually believe the character he play that how he is real life..!

They should think of him as Shahid not some character he not!

I don't think people were talking about Shahid fans at SO.net with the whole Prem thing. I think it is mostly people on Youtube and Pinkvilla who think of him that way to a certain extent. That is why a lot of people on those sites bashed Kareena during the break-up hoopla.

I am guessing most of his fans on SO.net read enough about him to not just buy one particular image.

Great observations here. I still cant fathom why some people spend hours each day for their favorite stars . I mean the fan gets absolutely nothing in return yet they spend all their free time and more for that star. IMO my time is valuable so either I spend it working so I get paid or spend it on my family or spend it on myself or volunteer at a senior center/ womens shelter . I cannot imagine spending time for a person who doesnt even know me or at the most may say " Hi, I love you etc etc" .But that's just me.

Phew, I was like...really, Riya? LOL. -sigh of relief-

I've clarified this already. Yes, the SOians don't like Kareena, but they're NOT allowed to bash her. You can't find hate messages or death threats against her - they're not bashers or haters. Anyone who says anything too mean against Kareena gets warned or temporarily banned. Anyway, why should one care? They've put it behind them, and the biggest fans have too!

I don't even READ Pinkvilla and YT comments anymore. There are so many insane fans who just fight for nothing.
