actually, deewana mujh sa nahin was relatively better than some of the other ones he did... but yeah, as i said... it was more to do with his choice of movies as well...

also, fact he did very few movies also worked against him... SRK also did some 'strange' (i'm being kind here, lol) movies, but he did so many movies, most of which worked, that overall, they did not work against him...

it's not that SRK is not capable of delivering... he has proven he is... i just wish SRK too would experiment a bit more as well...!

You're probably right aamir has got worse films than deewana mujh sa nahin but i'm biased as some of his flop films were with Juhi and i really like their pairing : ) But nothing can excuse them doing a film like Aatank Hi Aatank... that was a bad film. I think that made aamir think he should only do one film at a time, otherwise some of his films were lacking in quality.

I wasn't sure, did you mean doing very few movies has worked against aamir? I think it's worked in favour of him because since 2000 his only real major flop has been Mela which is better than the number of flops he had in the 90's.

But back to SRK i think maybe he will experiment more now and he should do as he can choose the films he wants to do with his production company. He did try something different with Paheli.

Sanam you are right! Srk should do more inspirational and message oriented movies. Despite working in Masala movies Srk has alwayz been a story of inspiraton for all the youngers because of his humility, honesty and his upfrontness! If he starts talking about issues people will definately listen. Because the man is very charming and he can definately use his charm to encourage.. old, young and all! He should think in tat direction.

Well I dont have tat deep info about hinduism.. but I do believe that it is said that you can live a regular married life wid kids.. and stuff.. and still do great things in simple life.. if you live it honestly, dont hurt anyone, self discover yourself, go on a path of realization.. you can do the daily chores of life without doing somethin special.. but still go on path of self discovery.. by bein honest, truthful and by being involved in spiritualism.. by basically self discovering yourself.

back on topic:

Dont know much about him.. But I think that it isnt tat bad to be the underdog.. because no one expects anything form you and you can rise from ashes.. If he is really good then he will definately succeed.. its good to be away from limelight.. learn from your mistakes.. make mistakes away from the glare of media.. Just think about star sons.. Ranbs.. abhishek.. every mistake they make is magnified.. its better if you make mistakes in private..and then rise from nowhere.

interesting point... but in this business, recognition is also important... everyone you mentioned, got and are getting (in the newcomers case) countless chances so they will bound to learn by working with some great directors... i truly believe one can learn a lot more by working with efficient directors...
