Ah Banegi Apni Baat! It indeed was a serial way ahead of it's time! Before all the saas bahu nonsense started! 😆 I think all the actors who worked in BAB- from shefali shah to irfan khan to Madhavan to Divya Seth to Sandhya Mridul are such good actors! I liked Irfan from BAB days and loved Madhavan too 😆

I felt here you were trying to tell people what they should say about an actor's ability, and therefore my comment. Maybe I misinterpreted you.

The thing is tat there is no definition of "great actor" its a very subjective term.. What is great to someone can be piece of crap for someone else..

I am not trying to be vindictive or anything, honestly, but since you mentioned how acting is subjective, I wanted to respond by saying that so is cinema. I remember you posting in a thread a while back saying that the only *smart* people were the ones who would dislike a film like Love Aaj Kal. So is cinema/art/music/acting only subjective when it is about your favourites? 😉

I have no personal grouse against you. I feel kind of silly saying this over and over again in different threads, but here I go again: All we do on IF is post opinions. I am sure the people who criticized Himesh and Imran (me included) don't think their opinion is fact.

Himesh - as an actor, can't really judge because I haven't seen either: Aap Ka Suroor - The Moviee - The Real Luv Story. Nor have I seen Karzzz. I am definitely not a fan of his music or singing. That just isn't my kind of music.

I saw someone mentioned Parveen Dabbas on the thread earlier. He was also in Monsoon Wedding.

Another really good actor is Pawan Malhotra - He was so good as Tigor Memon in Black Friday, and he played Angry Chacha in Jab We Met. He was also Bittu's uncle in Delhi 6.

Well here by "U" I wasnt responding to anyone on this forum.... I was just speaking in thrid peson..I was saying it generally.. I have a habit of speaking in third person.. so many times when I say U and stuff its a generalized statement...

Well I was just respoding to the opnions that seem to pan and put down Himesh and Imran.. Even in this statement I was speaking in thrid person.. I dont think I have ever tried to tell someone wat to do! Yes you can sense a little judgement in my voice.. but I guess one seemz to get judgemental when one is defending their favourite.. I did not mind someone saying on this thread that they are ashamed of liking Himesh.. I was just surprised so I commented back.. by showing them what I think about himesh.. Maybe I was a little bit judgemental. but there are a lot of judgemental posts here on this threads! And in the rishi post even I got line like "Are you kidding Adios?" well tat statement is far worse and and judgemental tat what I wrote here. But I did not mind because you were talking about an issue tat is close to your heart.. My point is that we do tend to get judgemental.. when one posts something and after a second.. one seez 10's of posts in opposing view and the opposing posts are hitted wid 100000's of like buttons and ur post is suna suna..lol.. but a saviour like Sanam comes along and iz kind enough to press the like button to my much disliked posts! lmao... My point is it does get intimidating to post an opposing view.. and maybe sometimes I get judgemental.. but I am not the only one.. as I have shown you above many people do tat.. I pesonally dont mind people saying.. "Are you kidding me" or "Are you forreal" because.. I take it in stride as a part of debate..but when I put a little judement in reply then I am labelled disrespectful..

I personally dont know.. what do you find so offensive about my posts tat you always have to repeat this again and again.. I honestly find it cummbersome to post an opposing view in this forum because of being labelled as a bad debater and judgemental and disrespectful.. I personally mean no harm.. I just post my views wid passion and defend ma favs.. maybe I get a little bit judemental.. but I have seen a lot of judmental and name callings on Rishi thread .. and dont get why I am being subjected to this criticim.. when everyone gets a little bit judmental defending their favs.. and it is a bit necessay also.. in debates.. otherwise a debate wont be a debate! I personally dont mind persuasive writing.. I dont find it wrong tat someone is trying to persuade me to think in a way.. I think persuation is a great art.. and its no crime to be a little persuasive.. and I defiantely dont think tat an art like persuation should be labelled as "telling people what to do"!

Yes you are right I am very passionate about feminism. But I was never offended by any of your posts. I remember saying "are you kidding me" but I cannot remember the context, so right now I won't be able to explain why I said it, but that was in all a very frustrating thread where the discussion was going around in circles. I am pretty sure I didn't say "for real" though.

I don't really have a problem with people being judgmental. People have different ways of arguing. My problem is with people being inconsistent.

Like I said earlier, maybe I misinterpreted what you meant by the "U" comment. It seemed like you were saying people cannot make judgments here.

I personally dont think.. I ever said Are you kidding me to you.. But I dont mind anyone saying.. Are you kidding me or are you forreal to me.. cauz I have been posting in this forum for quite a while now.. and I guess one can say this stuff to the people who they share a sense of familiarity with! Well about inconsistency thingy.. My opinons and views are very flexible and always keep on changing.. so u will definately find me changing my opinions.. and I am not ashamed of that fact.. because I adapt and change my views quite often.. I dont have a rigid sense of thinking.. and you would definately find me defending and showing different views..
Back to the topic.. Sanam I think Neil is a great actor.. but i dont think he is either underrated or overrated.. He iz in the middle..lolz which is a great spot to be..lol

Seriously Adios, I mean no offense.

I have already talked about Neil on this thread so I guess I will skip him.

Sanjay Suri is another actor I really like.
