ya there have been many instances where u dont remember some one being in the movie..eg,when i think of dushman,it takes me some time to remember it has sanjay dutt in it....😆

Thank God, I never liked him😆 He suits these gangster type roles. I don't see him beyond that

The other day my mom was telling me about an article of "Shahid saving Rakhi" on Times of India, which got deleted I waved it off and told her that people might have criticized Rakhi calling her names, which is the reason the article got deleted. I doubt anyone would call Shahid any names. In some ways as females we are more civil, yet the male society for the most part calls these actresses quite a few names.

Some people find it healthy to criticize an actress due to the number of "boyfriends she supposedly has" and then the name calling starts. If any actress decided to open her mouth, and share the age she lost her virginity on, then bricks will be thrown at her. Yet, when someone like Ranbir declares the age people criticize him for that one post, but I still see everyone going, "Ranbir is cute". He is not called any names. Why? When actors have a million girl friends they are labeled as a flirt, yet for the actress it is entirely a different matter.

Our society is filled with hypocrites.

You nailed it.

It really comes down to the patriarchal society and the many faults within it. Males are expected, encouraged even, to pursure females, to experiment sexually, to make vulgar innuendos and objectify the other gender. They are given leeway that allows them to desire, sexually speaking of course. There isn't anything explicity wrong with this, if only this also applied to the females but it doesn't. At an early age, males in a patriarchal society are also taught that females do not desire - or if they do, they shouldn't do it as openly as the male. The basic ideology is that males pursue, females will be pursued. That is where the problem originates. This twisted ideology is so deeply embedded within our culture that most people don't find anything wrong with it. So when a women is said (not proven; if it was, I'm certain people would start burning effigies) to be actively pursuing the male or experimenting with partners, the swords come out because it goes against an idea that has become the norm. And that sucks.

Shah Rukh Khan: good in romantic roles...bad when he tries to do something different.. (chak de was an exception)!..overacts...

Hrithik: i'm a huge hrithik fan! loveeeee him! he is an awesome actor imo! but needs to work on his comic timing.... he was BAD in MPKDH n MDK!

Vivek oberoi : i feel is underrated... he was very good in saathiya n company!

Imran : wasnt great in JTYJN n bad in kidnap...whatz the hype about?

Ritesh: is underrated...he is soo good at comedy! fantastic facial expressions!

oh n i how can i forget..

Salman Khan: most overrated actor EVER!

Okie..

Hrithik Roshan is ana amazing actor. He does not deserve to be there......You have to watch K3G, JodhA Akbar, Koi Mil Gaya etc etc

Aamir Khan is great too. Im not his fan and i didnt like Ghajini either but the guy can play the toughest of roles beautifully.

I am a fan of Ranbir he looks feminine @ times is a different thing lol.

John Abraham , Dino Morea should really retire =P. I am not too keen on Imran Khan too. I think he isnt the hero material.

I think Aftab SHIVDSANI SHOULD ALSO GIVE UP ACTING 😆

let's start with a correction: SRK is more than a 'romantic' hero... do people forget his earlier work... he can carry roles with conviction given the director is capable... that's my believe... but yes, lately, he has been stereotyped in similar roles... i wish he would take up more variety of roles... because he is capable of delivering... swades and chak de are fine examples of that...! however, i see why he is called 'overrated', LOL...

Saif - yes, i shall pick on him here too... he has his share of great roles but then there are some that are just plain average... but i can't call him overrated...

Vivek - i won't call him overrated... if anything, the man is underrated... he has tons of potential... shame his career graph went downhill with that one fiasco of a press conference... he has some performances where he does tend to go overboard (kyon ho gaya naa, pyare mohan, etc.)... but he has some brilliant perfomances as well...

Ranbir - how can people even call him an average actor...? he's way below average.... and his BAH, that made me laugh... he's not even a decent actor, imo...!!

Farhan Akhtar - i'd call him overrated... he needs to go back to direction...!

Imran - needs to train under mamoon and learn something about acting first before he moves on to his eyebrows...!

Abhishek - overrated... if it wasn't for being a bachchan, i doubt he would have lasted this long... he has improved definitely but still not up to par... latest examples being drona and delhi 6... although, he has some great roles up his sleeves as well...

Hrithik - i'd rate him around the same as i rate SRK... he has some brilliant performances and some over-the-top... and interestingly, some of his brilliant performances are NOT with papa roshan...

Akshay - maybe overrated... but he has excellent comic timing... no harm in capitalizing on what you are good at but he is becoming redundant of late... and his acting is lacking... i wish he would go back to what he did in hera pheri... he also has some good performances as well, but not that many, unfortunately...

John Abraham - he's good looking ONLY... though, he was decent in No Smoking... overrated... he has not yet impressed... although, NY was a decent attempt...!

Sunjay Dutt - need i say more than has already been said...!

Salman - do i have to comment even...??

now, let's move on to the some of so-called 'under-rated' actors, shall we...

Jimmy Shergill - not at all underrated... he has a few good roles but he's strictly average...

Arshad Warsi - tends to overacts... he was great as Circuit and he was good in few other movies but he has a tendency to go overboard as well... however, i guess we can cut him some slack as he could do better i suppose considering some of the other actors who are doing so well can't act better than him...!

alright, i won't pick on the under-rated actors, then... LOL... although, i find that just because someone is not famous, people tend to put them on a pedestal because they're 'oh, sooo cute or oh, what a hottie'...!!
