Thank you Kully for this topic. definitely, i love this topic.. 😃
Ok i shall take the liberty to do a bit more grilling with you here.... 😳 LOL...
Aamir: If you go back to the films he started off with he wasn't that great, but he has definitely grown as an actor, and his performances in RDB and Lagaan show that. But his best performance for me has to be 1947 Earth.
Hrithik: I think somewhere behind his persona there is a decent actor hidden. It came out in Lakshya a little bit, a bit more in Jodha Akhbar and personally my favourite Hrithik performance is Luck By Chance. Apart from that I feel he has done some mediocre and outright horrendous films and performances. In almost all of these films he seems to be playing Hrithik Roshan the star and not any particular character. The same pout, the same flexing of muscles, and the same popping blood vessels to show intensity. that's not fair actually... however, to some extent, it's true... Fiza, Mission Kashmir are also among his finest performances...
Ranbir: He has potential if he tones it down a little bit. He has a tendency to ham. not tendecny, he hams, simple... currently, the most overrated actor, imo... i wonder if he would've gone past saawariya if he was not a kapoor...
Salman: Well never seems to play a character but just himself on screen.
SRK: With the right director and role he can be really good. Dil Se, Chak De, Swades, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na. But with Karan Johar he overdoes the Raj//Rahul type characters. that i agree with... he is a director's actor... he can go overboard sometimes but i do believe him capable of delvering given the director and script are good... wish he would take up more roles than the 'candyfloss' (i think that's the term) ones he ends up taking now...
Imran Khan: Well I don't know what Abbas Tyrewala did in JTYJN but he was atleast tolerable in that film. It wasn't a great performance by any means. I haven't seen Luck, but in Kidnap he was really bad another one that needs to attend acting school.... but it should be easy for him, considering he has one right at home... wish he would take some tips... his eyebrows are much more bearable than his acting of late... he has improved a little in luck by maybe one more expression...!
can i defend my duggu here 😳 hehe...
i think he deserved the awards for KMG n jodha akbar!
yes i'll agree that KNPH n Dhoom 2 were not really award winning performances! but then indian awards have always been like that... the most popular performance wins every year...so that was expected....
just like saif winning the national award for Hum Tum..right if saif can win for his role in HT then srk shud have won 10 national awards by now🤔 (though hum tum is one of my fav movies...still saif's performance didnt deserve a national award)

😕 so if SRK wins for Chak De, then it won't be unfair after all...?? okay, i am seriously confused....!!

Can I make a case for why he was bad in KMG?
Personally I thought it was one of his hammiest performance till date. There is a tendency in Hollywood and India as well to praise performances where the actor has a disability of some sort. As the retarded Rohit he wasn't convincing because the performance was overdone. If you personally know people with similar conditions, you would see why I am making this argument. When he transformed after getting powers from Jaadu he slipped into his MPKDH style again. He was good in JA but I think Naseeruddin Shah in A Wednesday was better.
