Sanam, I think she means that it shows the unfairness of the whole system. Although part of the National Awards and its history is them being Bombay dominated in jury and rewarding the mediocre Hindi films they see and not bothering to watch films from different parts of the country that are often times much better.
My favorite Hrithik Roshan performance happens to be Lakshya. I really regret him not doing Kismet Talkies because I do think Zoya could have brought a different side to him. He actually has the potential to be fantastic in a role when he is pushed by a certain director. Rakesh Roshan's films do not foster such an environment, which is why I am looking forward to Guzaarish because I do think SLB has the potential to show a different side of HR. Like Geet said, we often see more of the superstar HR rather than the actor.

yeah, i got that... 😊 thanks for clarifying, Manali... 😃
actually, i loved Mission Kashmir... that's my favourite... he was just amazing... he has the capability to touch hearts through his performances... i liked him in Lucky By Chance too and i know length of the role is not important but it was too short a role... i wanted to see more of him... 😳

Is Kismat Talkies not happening?

I forgot Saif:

I remember I was completely shocked watching DCH, and since that film he has gotten better. He kind of got the reputation for playing the slightly quirky romantic hero after Hum Tum, but I think his best performances were in Ek Hasina Thi, Being Cyrus, Parineeta and Omkara.

Shahid: He is a good actor. As much as I hate Vivaah I have to admit that I can't fault his acting in the film. His biggest problem has been chosing bad films and roles. Hopefully with Jab We Met and Kaminey behind him he will get to show his versatility.

No I dont think SRK is overrated...Even his biggest fans has accepted many times he is more of a good entertainer than an actor ...The critics never appreciated the actor in him untill he did movies like Dilse,Veer Zara ....Or is it because he has a lot of fans which people consider not plausible compared to his acting talents? Well I dont think fan following has a lot to do with being the bestest performer....its just individual perspective...Usually audience prefer a star who entertains them to the core....& Undoubetdly SRK is the biggest entertainer & he does everything with a lot of passion which makes him special for me...Having said that one cant deny the fact he is an actor with immense potential ...He just needs a good script & atalented director..For me his finest perfomances have been Chak de India,VeerZara,Swades...though the movies which I would like to watch every few months wud be a DDLJ or a KKHH...Ofcourse he might be having some kind of charm cuz of which ppl are still crazy about him...Baazigar is his first movie I actually developed a crush on him..Till date my love & admiration for him is goin strong( ofcourse also as an individual)...Dont know whats so special, none of the newcomers have attracted me like him...I do like them still SRK is SRK..dont think will ever figure the reason for this obsession...There ends my totally "phangirly" post 😆

considering how much people bash him for his acting skills, he actually should be considered underrated, if one applies the same rules to everyone... 😆
it's such a cute post...
i definitely agree with the bolded part.... it's not that he is not capable... people say that but that's such a wrong statement because time and again he has proved, that if he has a great director and a good script, he can deliver... the movie may not work, as was the case in Swades, but you can't fault him for his acting prowess.... 😊
p.s. perhaps, it would help if i change my avi and username, so it won't be considered a biased fan talking... 😉😆😆 and now, obviously, i need to take a break... LOL...

He was immature back then, I hated Vivah but it was huge hit, so I do not regret that movie. Films like Fool n Final, Deewane Huye Paagal were AWFUL. He did FnF because of Ahmed and then he did all those multi starrers because those kind of movies were working back then. Like, he was promised a lot more in the multi-starrers but the end product he used to get was completely different *cough akki cough*.

What he says, that after some of his craptastic movie, his dad had a lil "talk" with him😆, and thats when JWM, KiKo and Kaminey happened.😆

John Abraham: If he is in Bombay Velvet then that might be a film to watch because apparently Anurag Kashyap can get him to act. I thought he was good in No Smoking, and he tried in NY. Apart from that nothing special.

Neil Nitin Mukesh: Really good in Johnny Ghaddar, but after his last two films I am wondering whether that was a total fluke. He was not good in New York. And I would say John was better than him in it.

Arshad Warsi: I think he is really good and unfortunately since he is not a star he doesn't get a pick of the roles and has to do stuff like Golmaal Returns. I am looking forward to Ishqiya.

Rahul Bose: He chooses good films, but quite honestly he is a bad actor.

I hadn't heard that, but I am glad Pankaj Kapur told him that.

Now Pankaj Kapur is a fabulous actor. Maqbool and Blue Umbrella were brilliant and so was he.

Lol Shahid said that after Fool n Final, Pankaj called him to his house and he was like, " Beta, tum dikhte ache ho, acting bhi aati hai, dance toh tumhara mashallah hai. Beta, lekin roles theek se pick kiya karo."

I guess that was wake up call for him😆
