Ok some will kill me for bringign up the stale topic one more time. But I think its about time everyone read about the flipside of the Shahid and kareena break up. WARNING: If you're tired of this topic, LEAVE NOW!
I have four different sources, all coming from differnet ppl. Two coming from friends, one coming from an india forums user and one from the reputed journalist, Upala KBR. I just got two of them recently, so I thought I'd let you know. Its up to you to decide whether you believe in this or not. I'm posting this coz I just came across two recently, and their similarities made me dig up the older ones that were disregarded coz I mean...poor shahid angel couldnt possibly have done anything wrong....right?
I leave about a 40% margin of error in these articles. But even if 60% of what they say has some truth to it, then Kareean was wrongly shred apart.

Maanav has a girlfriend who's maasi is very close friends with Anil Kapoor. Maanav told me that once him and his girlfriend were talking, and the topic of the shahid and kareena break up came up and hse told him that Anil Kapoor told her family that the break up was not kareena's fault adn that she was very hurt by it. I believe, though I cannot remember correctly, that Maanav also told me that Anil talked about how he encouraged her to move on one day via phoen conversation.

"Hey, well i would love to share what people have told me but I just dont want to create any fights or problems between members. But since your interested i'll tell you here. I have heard a couple of different stories but they all basically left me with the same conclusion. Well, my sisters co-worker's fiance's mom is a bollywood insider. I dont know what she exactly does because my sisters co-worker didnt want her to tell anyone but she did tell me about her take on the Shahid-Kareena break up. She said Shahid and Kareena started having problems 6 months before he went to Canada for shooting. She said it got really serious when she felt Shahid getting close to another costar ( i dont know who) and Kareena tried to talk it out with him. Shahid was not interested in talking anything out and the relationship went bad. The lady who knows all this is supposed to be close with all the biggies of bollywood. She said Kareenas not the type to let a relationship just go and move on unless the other person does something to really hurt her. As a fan I believe this because I think Shahid must have really done something that hurt her for her to just let the relationship end as it did. I mean considering she put so much into it you know?
Well, anyways another source told me while I was in Bombay that the breakup wasnt Kareena's fault either. The source did not tell me the exact reason for the break up but did give enough clues for me to make a educated guess. The source said Kareena is very emotional and did her best to make things work. She told me things similar to what you posted in the hate topic about the girl from another forum and what she knew.
Even our drivers were on Kareenas side! It was obvious that our driver was a kareena fan since everytime we talked about her he would start talking about how beautiful he thought she was! lol But even he said that he has worked for many stars and his close friends have worked for Kareena. He said his close friends told him the breakup was very hard on Kareena. I was unsure whether to believe him because I thought maybe hes just making up a story and probably doesnt even know any stars! But I started believing him after he promised us he would let us meet Aamir Khan and he did! He said his best friend works for Aamir and that he would let us meet him. I think he deserves come credibility, after all he did fulfill his promise! Not just that but my aunt who is actually distantly related to Rani Mukerji and lived in Bombay all her teenage life said that the drivers know a lot about the stars personal lives. I was really happy to know that so many people say Kareena was not at fault!"

From the time they got together my source who is very close to both shahid and kareena, He (Shahid) started to alienate her from all her friends namely tushar kapoor, Fardeen khan, Vivek oberoi etc, asked her not to sign movies with certain stars since he did not approve and if she was to be his wife as he then said, and she was so much in love with him that she never said no to anything he wanted her to do. On the other hand he finally was tasting success something which was the reason he accepted this alliance with her to begin with, because with Kareena even though he did'nt have work he knew he would always be in the news.
When she asked for marriage he flat out refused, since then they have been having problems, now that he started getting work and things looking up for him, he didn't need her, so he started creating situations so she would just storm out of the relationship. One such instant my source tells me was in the recent past on "Koffee with Karan" When karan asked shahid what had he left for kareena, since she had changed her life around for him. He shouted at her behind the scenes and gave her a lot of grief, saying that why your friends asking me such questions, there was a lot more as this source was a live witness, that went on.
She really cares for him so much even now since she invested 3 and 1/2 yrs and so much more in this relationship. He seemed real nice in the begginning but failure made him real bitter, he would'nt let any chance by to insult her in public, with her non-filmi friends starting to dessert the couple now. Then right before he was leaving for the shooting in Canada, he told her it was over, she could not beleive what she was hearing, she had fought with her family, friends, suffered professionally and he just walked away without any explanation, she called him and called him but no answer. Until one day he called and yelled at her cursing and all saying to leave him alone, she was devastated. Contrary to speculations that Kareena Kapoor dumped Shahid Kapoor for Saif Ali Khan or that they broke up to give publicity to Jab We Met ' here's the real reason. A close friend of Shahid and Kareena reveals that the couple broke off more than three months ago and what drove the final nail to the coffin was the alleged relationship between Shahid and Vidya Balan, Shahid's heroine in Kismet Connection.
Things got sour
Says a source close to Kareena, "Shahid and Kareena broke off in July. They had been having problems for the last eight months for various reasons. Even while shooting for Jab We Met they would have fights.
After four-and-a-half years, both felt that they had outgrown the relationship. They had been fighting a lot and Shahid wanted Kareena to adapt to his ways.
It was Shahid's decision to break off. By the time Kareena went to shoot for Tashan in Ladakh, both had gone their different ways. It was an amicable parting."
But Kareena was still in two minds as she has always loved Shahid and didn't want to give up on a relationship in which she had invested so much of her time and emotions.
Reveals the source, "Then came the news of Shahid's increasing closeness to his Kismet Connection co-star, Vidya Balan, in Toronto and Kareena was shooting for Tashan in Jaisalmer.
