Anushka Sharma was kept under wraps before her debut film with Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Raj Film's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, was released. Something tells us that even now, after the film has released, you won't get to see much of her. That's because she is bound by a contract to do two more films with Yash Raj, who aren't in a particular hurry to do that.

"Yes, I'm under contract to do two more films with Yash Raj," says Anushka. She also admits that the next film is not around the corner. "Adi (Aditya Chopra) and I were both busy with Rab Ne… Now they will have to decide what I'm doing next. But I must say I'm itching to get back in front of the camera."

There's also talk that Anushka was kept away from the media for a tad longer than necessary. To this, Anushka is quick to defend her banner. She says, "I was kept away from the media's glare for a reason. I wanted to focus completely on my film. And it served the purpose."

We point out to Anushka that she wasn't not presented with the finesse and sophistication associated with a typical Yashraj heroine. To this she says, "You are right. Even when girls are supposed to be simple, in a Yash Raj film she's always glamorous. But you see, I can always get into chiffon saris in my next Yash Raj film."

Anushka sure seems to be gung-ho about her next film, but what we aren't sure about is whether Yash Raj Films feels the same way too.

I hope Anushka is not taken for a ride by the banner. Mahima Chaudhary complained about the same and had a huge fight with Ghai. Many new actors gets into this trap by banners.

Looks like she wants to sign new films but stuck because of this. In this industry when every actor wants a 20 something leading lady, time is running out.

She is an outsider and if things don't work out, she won't have her father or mother to re-launch either. Abhishek Bachchan is still in the industry after 11 flops. Anushka deserves better.

What a sad news for me, my favorite actress priyanka is going to do a movie with that uday, that movie probably would be flop like most recent yash movies are. SRK gives him hits.

Totally agree i do not want any poor actresses to be opposite uday especially priyanka or anushka. I mean what do yash raj not get he has no looks or talent to be a actor😕😕no offence but KJO can act even better than him.

Its good that shes already got more films but as a newcomer i think it would be better to not get stuck with one banner since she could have more better offers from other places. Definetly she does not have the luxury of star kids people will keep backing films despite flops.
