AWW!
It's great that you all loved the film!
Sadia, I TOTALLY agree about the fact that Ek Vivaah...Aisa Bhi cannot be compared with Vivah...Or with any other previous Rajshri film, for that matter!
The treatment of the subject of marriage is completely different, and the very nature of the relationship between Prem and Chandni is incomparable to the relationship between Prem and Poonam in Vivah. Both are brilliant films, but they shouldn't be compared...I really can't see anything to compare between them anyway...Except for the fact that both Sonu-Eesha and Shahid-Amrita are absolutely perfect jodis, that is...😳
The only thing I can say is: I love all Rajshri films! How is it that they are all so beautiful and touching?

Guys i will reply back to reviews soon i am on my mac and each time i go to quote text goes funny unfortunetly :( :(

I finally got to see it and i did not know really what to expect for reason i liked it and thought it was a good film where but i think i really want to see it again i just did not feel like the film was long enough lol.

I like Eesha first whole film of hers i saw it and she was really good especially her expressions during the songs . Her look was updated as well to make her slightly older which was good :).
Sonu was good as prem and both together had good chemistry and definetly a very different type of couple to all the rajshri couples. They brought a maturity the film needed.

It was really emotional film it made me cry so much in places. The story itself was good i thought very different to usual movies you saw and it played out well. Loved the scenes with prem and him supporting chandni from afar when she tells him not to meet her because he had been missing rehearsals. All the cast was really good i though. Was really impressed in that two things i was expecting did not happen firstly the brother was really supportive of chandni which i expected to be typical him turning against her and secondly his wife loved the way the character played out in that it was not overly sterotyped.

There were things that i made me think that maybe they should have added this in or done this. I think prems character was there but abit in the back , nothing like the other prems which i missed the cuteness he was more sweet than make you go awww..even the romance part i felt could have been built up better to have more impact on the whole story. Though there were still cute scenes. Also missed the family factor guess was key to story but prem nor chandni had big families though more friends.

Great review, Nina!
I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one who felt the film wasn't long enough! That's one thing I'm quite sad about: they cut some stanzas from the songs (Like Jhirmir! Chandni in the yellow salwar and Prem in the black shirt...That's where the cuteness was, I bet! And Dekhe Akele, too.) and also some post-marriage stuff (Eesha said that the film would show what happens after marriage for a little bit...*sniffle* Sadly, they are now deleted scenes!)
I also REALLY missed the absence of more scenes between Prem and Chandni...Like that still pic in your sig - the one with Eesha looking up into Sonu's eyes...(I've posted the pics below again...) That is definitely a scene that comes after their marriage (see the sindoor?), and they chopped it from the film! That's one scene that I really, really wanted to see, especially since Prem looks absolutely mesmerized by her...Sooo romantic! It would've brought the Sonu-Eesha chemistry out completely!
But on the flip side, I really admire how Soorajji and Kaushikji emphasized how Prem and Chandni's love was based on understanding more than anything else...The physical attraction was there, but neither of the characters actually expressed it, which only highlights their maturity even more. Even Prem tried to keep his feelings to himself when he wrote the ghazal...
I'm sure there were little romantic moments between Prem-Chandni on the way back from Delhi, though. They just weren't in the film...And I wish they were!
Like you said, Prem-Chandni are the most unconventional Rajshri couple, I totally agree with that! I loved this film so much because of that different look at romance...Love is expressed through the eyes more than anything else, and through dialogues.
I also felt the same way about the family scenes. There were some really sweet scenes, but I would've loved to see more! Especially since Anuj and Sandhya are so supportive of Chandni when they grow older...If the story didn't span a period of 12 years, there could have been more scenes, I think. *sigh* I just didn't want this film to end! It's too good...Maybe I'll write out my own little scenes to add in to the film...😍

Personally i was unsure about the story more than anything at first ...as for actors i agree with what you saying but rajshri they know how to cast very well and can get the best out of anyone. Sonu was really cute am still not decided there i want to see it again ...who does not want a husband like prem even if you have to wait 15 -20 years lol 😆😆.

I would rate it 10/10

I was just shocked lol too much crying but definetly did have the aww factor.
Oh definetly cannot be compared to vivah i do not want to seriously that film is just amazing..this was really good though.
Yeh all relationships as usual were really shown well especially i thought the brother/sisters along with prems. Actors did a fantastic job!

However this was like you said in contrast for me i think this showed the bond after marriage not that i would know lol but saying that in that prem supported her, was always there for always and she was for him. Both were great jodis..you cannot compare really complete contrasts
The only thing I can say is: I love all Rajshri films! How is it that they are all so beautiful and touching? I know totally agree they are really beautiful guess its all down to the people who run the companny if people make such films they must belive in it just as much somewhere.

OMG i thought that was just me who thought that..it was definetly not long enough i really hope that the film is longer as a dvd. Definetly some songs were missing ...like the song they played for her brothers wedding they had different lyrics one for prem that was on my ipod as well i was kind of disappointed along with the dekhe akhele though i thought that was in the film at one point cannot remeber.
I also REALLY missed the absence of more scenes between Prem and Chandni...Like that still pic in your sig - the one with Eesha looking up into Sonu's eyes...(I've posted the pics below again...) I was going to post this pic to ask if it was missing it definetly is from after the wedding for sure maybe its scenes from after marriage they cut but it looked so romantic...and she looked soo pretty. I am glad its not only me who missed amount of scenes between them.
Definetly agree that was one of the best things about the film and that ghazal was soo cute especially way was prem trying to stop his mates from reading it.
I'm sure there were little romantic moments between Prem-Chandni on the way back from Delhi, though. They just weren't in the film...And I wish they were! Definetly hope they make the dvd extended version.
Like you said, Prem-Chandni are the most unconventional Rajshri couple, I totally agree with that! I loved this film so much because of that different look at romance...Love is expressed through the eyes more than anything else, and through dialogues. It was a VERY different rajshri couple but really nice to at the same way. It was nice the different look you said 😳

It's too good...Maybe I'll write out my own little scenes to add in to the film...😍 OH you should do a pic story i would love to read that or some scenes of your own 😃. I think fact it spands over 12 years was reason for scenes. I think family scenes were for sure sweet and the support factor was definetly my favourite.

EVAB: What's common to Sonu Sood and Prem?
November 17, 2008 1:55:40 PM IST
Abid, Bollywood Trade News Network
Despite releasing in India with less than 100 prints, Rajshri Productions', EK VIVAAH...AISA BHI has pleasantly surprised with its good to decent collections during the first week. And for that the premium production house's strategic release and the fantastic performances of the lead pair, Sonu Sood and Eesha Koppikar, needs to be complemented in big way.

Those who have watched EK VIVAAH...AISA BHI say that Sonu Sood looks every inch his character Prem in the film. So, we decided to ask Sonu the secret and here is what he has to say about his character and his natural performance. In the film, Prem comes from a small town and wants to be a singer. He keeps his family together and waits for the girl he loves. And even Sonu is from a small town in Punjab and gives great importance to his family. So there is a lot common between the two and hence the natural performance, which has won accolades all over.

Well Sonu, here's wishing a prolonged and successful run for your film, EK VIVAAH...AISA BHI, and may it turn out to be your first big solo hit!
