Opinions for Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi of Sooraj Bharjatia
There are very few producers who add in inputs from the crew of the film. So it was a pleasant surprise when Sooraj Barjatya invited the entire cast and crew of his film, Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, for a special screening, and asked for their opinion on the film. The film was screened at a private theatre in Rajshri Production's office at Prabhadevi. The entire cast and crew were given a note-pad and a pen to jot down their observations and opinion. Before the screening began, it was announced that everyone must note their suggestions, and if they were found suitable, they will be incorporated in the film. When contacted, Sooraj Barjatya confirmed that they took their crew's opinion. They also did a similar exercise once the script of the film was finalized. At Rajshri they believe that it is vital to take everyone's opinion, be it an assistant or a technician.
As a producer, he should know if the film has touched people's soul or not. What could be a better way of finding this out? He tells his crew honestly that he wants to hear their opinion, and they give him an honest feedback. If he will not consider his crew's opinions after asking them for it, then all he will get will be sugarcoated lies. They are all together to make a good film and his crew understands that. Speaking about the changes done so far in Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, he said that a technician pointed out one editing error and that has been now corrected. As a result of another technician's observation, one scene has more background score now. There will be many more changes by the time the film finally releases around October-November. Barjatya goes a step further. According to him the families of the cast and crew will also get to watch film so that they can estimate how much the film will appeal to the entire family, or to their female audiences. Barjatya's assistant Kaushik Ghatak directs Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi. This movie stars Sonu Sood and Ishaa Koppikar.

EK VIVAAH AISA BHI throws a surprise

view EK VIVAAH... AISA BHI videos
Barjatya's special bond with composer/lyricist Ravindra Jain is continuing with EK VIVAAH AISA BHI. Two years back, veteran Ravindra Jain's work was heard in VIVAAH. Though the music didn't quite win the heart of the critics and was also slow in finding audience's attention, it went on to do decent business as the film turned into a huge success.
Now, after the success of the Shahid Kapoor'Amrita Rao starrer, Barjatyas are back with EK VIVAAH AISA BHI (which is not a sequel to VIVAAH, as some are presuming) and for the film they have roped in Ravindra Jain once again. To be fair to the composer/lyricist, EK VIVAAH AISA BHI turns out to be a good album which throws a complete surprise since it has literally come completely unannounced.
Just like majority of other films/music coming from the house of Barjatyas, this one too has it's heart in place, as evidenced in songs like 'Mujhe Zinda Hai Woh' and 'Kya Soch Ke Aaye The'. The soundtrack boasts of simplicity and innocent with Ravindra Jain demonstrating that there is a place for a sound like this even in the times when Western sound is dominating the music of practically every other film.

'Company' to 'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi': Isha Koppikar comes of age
(Ashwini Kumar) Contact Reporter E-MAIL This Story PRINT This Story
Publication Date 24/8/2008 2:43:58 PM(IST)
New Delhi: It was almost a decade ago that this girl with stunning looks and an endearing smile made a splash in Bollywood with the '''Khallas' song in Ramgopal Verma's 'Company'.
While giving a much needed kickstart to Isha Koppikar's ''still fledgling'' career in Bollywood at that time, the song in 'Company' also gave her the 'Khallas Girl' tag, an image that continues to be associated with her to this day.
However, with a series of films, featuring her in a range of diverse portrayals, on the anvil in the coming months, Isha could well be on threshold of outgrowing her 'Khallas girl' image.
However, of all the films in her kitty at present, the one which could well prove to be another milestone in Isha's career is Sooraj Barjatiya's 'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi'.
Talking to UNI recently, Isha seemed quite excited about her role in 'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi', a film which trade analysts feel could put her in the league of actresses like Madhuri.
''In 'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi', I play the girl next door. Apparently, Soorajji had been following all my releases since Chandraprakash Dwivedi's 'Pinjar', where I played the girl next door for the first time, till Ramgopal Verma's 'Darling' where I played a plain housewife.
My role in 'Ek Vivah..' is a very challenging one. In fact, I would term it as one of my most mature performances till date, ''Isha said excitedly.
'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi' is one among a series of interesting films featuring the actress which are lined up for release in the coming months.
''I have several interesting films lined up for release in the coming months, all of which feature me in a wide variety and range of roles, helping me utilise to the fullest my potential as an actress.
In fact, there are among six of my films set for release shortly which include Atul Agnihotri's 'Hello' based on writer Chetan Bhagat's bestseller 'One Night @ the Call Center' ; Lalit Marathe's 'Shabri', Jahnu Barua's 'Harr Pal', Manoj Tiwari's 'Hello Darling', 'Right Ya Wrong' and Kaushik Ghatak's 'Ek Vivah Aisa bhi'. Each of these films features me in characters different from the other, all of which help me showcase my abilities as an actress,''Isha said.
Asked whether, almost a decade after Ramgopal Vermas 'Company' being still referred to as Khallas girl peeved her, Isha, displaying her characteristic nonchalance, said,''for me it does not make any difference whether people call me a 'Khallas' girl or by any other name. A lot of actresses in this industry are known and associated with a particular character or image. For example, Hema Malini was known as the 'Dream Girl' after she did the film by the same name. For me, too is a matter of pride that like great actresses like Hema Malini, I too am being associated with the 'Khallas girl' image.'' Isha said her career had taken a turn for the better over the last few years after films like 'Kya Kool Hai Hum', 'Don' and 'Salaam-e-Ishq'.
''Films like 'Kya Kool Hai Hum', 'Don' and 'Salaam-E-Ishq' have been significant milestones in my career. For example, 'Kyan Kool Hai Hum', for the first time, brought to the fore the comic streak in me. On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar's 'The Don Returns', where I played Shah Rukh Khan's girlfriend Anita, the character borne out of Farhan's interesting interpretation of the earlier 'Don', and Nikhil Advani's 'Salaam-E-Ishq' opened the doors of big banner films for me,'' she said.
Indeed, the last few years have witnessed Isha, who made her debut over a decade ago with the Tamil film 'Kaadal Kavitha', come of age with a diverse range of meaty films in her kitty.
Asked about her criterion of choosing a film, the actress said, ''for me, first and foremost, script should be exciting. The next criterion is the banner that should be recognised one and then my role in the film and its director.''

sha to board 'networking' flight for Hollywood take-off
NEW DELHI, July 16: Expressing her desire to join actresses who have turned up in Hollywood, 'Khallas girl' Isha Koppikar says she plans to head towards New York to boost her career in Hollywood after completing her pending projects.
"After finishing my part for 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi', 'Hello Darling' and 'Hello', I intend to take a one month break and enhance my networking amongst Hollywood circles," Isha says.
"I have an agent in New York, but the arrangement won't work till I make my presence felt there," says the actress who first came into limelight with the item number 'Khallas' in 'Company'.
The glam diva, who has been appreciated for her role as a paan chewing inspector in 'Kya Kool Hai Hum' and has portrayed a variety of roles including that of a ghost in 'Krishna Cottage' and a lesbian in 'Girlfriend', will soon be seen in Rajshri's 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' and Atul Agnihotri's 'Hello' in prominent roles.
While 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi' is a love story set in the backdrop of music, 'Hello' is an onscreen adaption of Chetan Bhagat's famous novel 'One night at the Call Centre,' she says.
Relishing the prospect of playing the lead role in 'Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi', Isha says, "It's the journey of a woman in the world of music, that also deals with her love interest, how they meet and get separated." 'Hello Darling', 'Shabri', 'Raakh', 'Right Ya Wrong' and 'Mujhe Rang De'are some of the other movies in which she will be seen later this year.
Isha is yearning to star opposite Ranbhir Kapoor amongst a host of new actors who have emerged in the last couple of years. "I am a die hard fan of his father's radiant smile. There is no one who could better him with a guitar or in a quawwali scene," she says. "Perhaps this is the way I can fulfil my crush on him," she adds.
An expert in Taekwondo, Ishaa is keen to flaunt her action skills," I would love to play the lead in a solo action flick, a la-Lara Croft types where I'm not cluttered with other actors," she says. (PTI)

This schedule will capture the major part of the movie which will include songs and major scenes.
Art director Sanjay Dhabade has successfully recreated the quaint old world charm of an Indian small town with his exquisite eye for details. There are narrow gullies, temples and mazaars, banners on poles and electric wires enmeshed over the houses... the set is no longer just a set but has become a character of the film.
Rajshri Productions has always believed in giving new talent to the industry in every field of film making, be it actors, actresses, music directors, writers, lyricists and directors. This was one of the pioneering beliefs of the Late Shri Tarachand Barjatya - the founding father of Rajshri Productions. In a similar vein, under the able guidance of the trailblazer Sooraj R. Barjatya, Rajshri is nurturing talent with the aim to please and entertain audiences all over. Keeping the tradition, Kaushik Ghatak is making his directorial debut in Bollywood with EK VIVAAH AISA BHI. He has successfully directed serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Sanjeevani and Rajshri's very own Woh Rehnewali Mahlon Ki. Kaushik Ghatak has his fine sensitivities tuned into what the family audiences appreciate by delivering the above mentioned successful television family dramas.
EK VIVAAH AISA BHI, Rajshri's 52nd offering, is the story of strong and beautiful bonding between relationships.
EK VIVAAH AISA BHI features the charming Eesha Koppikhar and the talented Sonu Sood with Alok Nath, Smita Jayakar, Vallabh Vyas, Anang Desai, Vishal Malhotra, Chhavi Mittal, Amrita Prakash, Kunal Kumar, Daman Deep Baggan, Ritu Vasishtha, Jayaa Bhattacharrya, Anand Abhyankar, Gargi Patel, Amrit Kaur Chawla, Prashant Kumar, Master Amey Pandya and Baby Ishita Panchal.
The film is produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, RajKumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya. The soulful music and lyrics are by veteran Ravindra Jain.
Its set to be an all India release through Rajshri.

Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi - not a sequel to Vivah

Sonu Sood is receiving accolades for his convincing portrayal of the character of Soojamal in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar . Finally the actor is happy with the long-due recognition he is getting.
But rather than basking in the glory of the present appreciation, Sonu is concentrating on his upcoming film which only promises to make things better for him. He has been signed by none other than Sooraj Barjatya for Rajshree's next family affair 'Ek Vivah Aisia Bhi '. The film will be directed by debutante Kaushik Khattar.
Does the title imply it's a sequel to Sooraj Barjatya's superhit Vivah ? 'No, not at all', explains Soni ' Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi is definitely not a sequel to Vivah . But yes the film will show the growth of the character of Prem post Vivah .'
If one recollects in all of Sooraj Barjatya's films, right from Maine Pyaar Kiya to Hum Aapke Hai Kaun , Hum Saath Saath Hain , Mein Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Vivah , the name of the lead protagonist has been Prem. The legacy continues in their next film as well.
So will Sonu be impersonating the earlier Prems? 'No, This Prem will be really different from all the earlier ones', claims the actor. 'I'm playing Prem who in the film is very supportive and too good a character to be true'.
And how does it feel playing Prem? 'This is my first film where I have this huge responsibility on my shoulders of carrying forward the image of Prem. The Rajshris are known for family oriented films like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and they have entrusted me with something to which I need to do full justice', concludes a concerned Sonu Sood. .
