Oh, I think Hrithik is tooo hot

Former "Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez, who is packing her bags and heading for India, is completely bowled over by Hrithik Roshan's good looks.

"Oh, I think he is hot!" she whooped as soon as his name was mentioned.
That's a step up in our opinion from Colin Farrell, the Irish bad boy she was crazy about ever since the two of them were on screen together in "S.W.A.T."

Rodriguez's familiar with many of India's top Bollywood stars and is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan as well. She would be travelling to India in six months time to do some charity work.

"I'm counting the days," she told www.hollywood.tv, before adding that she also wants to take out some time to check out Bollywood and Ramoji Film City.

"I love Bollywood films, and I always cry when I watch them," she said.

When it comes to the men in her life, she was recently quoted as saying: "The kind of people I fall for are free spirits, people who'll run naked on the beach with me and won't care if anyone's looking."

But before you think she is just another Hollywood airhead, Rodriquez said she doesn't go along with all the groupthink about India.

"When people here in America talk to me about India, they make it sound like the country is some big India Inc., high-tech firm with a lot of software writers and call centres.

"If they'd just pick up a book once in a while or read something other than gossip magazines, they'd find out there's a lot more to India than what you get in the news."

Though she's an actress who is best known for her tough roles ever since she played the lead in the boxer film "Girlfight", Rodriquez wants to get more spiritually grounded by spending some time with a guru and learning more about what Hinduism has to offer.

Although her film work has landed her awards like the Deaxville Festival of American Cinema Award for best actress and the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award for female breakthrough performance, she now wants some spiritual satisfaction.

"I'm at the point in my life where I'm looking for something more spiritually rewarding," the 28-year-old actress said.

Tata Sky sells as cricket fever catches up
Wednesday March 14 2007 11:48 IST

COIMBATORE: Oye pappe, watch the final with me, screams ads of Tata Sky featuring Hrithik Roshan announcing a combination of special offers to cricket buffs with the opening match of World Cup 2007. They are offered 'three months subscription free' for purchases made before April 15.

Over the past few weeks, as the World Cup fever began to grip this city too, the activation figure of the satellite television recorded a jump in the region, claimed its sales manager V Veeraraghavan.

Though Tata Sky executives were not ready to reveal the exact figures, it is understood that during the past 10 days, the average activation per day in the city has gone up from 20 new subscribers to 40.

In small towns like Namakkal, two activation a week is recorded against the same number in a month in normal times, Jayamurugan, staff at Sharptronics, a Tata Sky dealer said.

Hrithik loses deal worth crores

Idle talk. That's what those so-called multi-crore deals between Adlabs and Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar were all about.

Adlabs never signed a deal with either Hrithik or Akshay on paper.

An industry source says, "Initially, everything was hunky-dory. But after stories about Hrithik Roshan's Rs 36 crore three-film contract appeared in the press, talks between him and Adlabs soured.

Presently, no such deal exists." When asked about the status of Roshan Jr's deal, Adlabs chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty tells us, "I have no clue how the news got splashed all over the media.

The fact is that it is only a proposal. If anything significant happens, we will announce it. As of now, I have nothing to say on this." Now, even Akshay Kumar's Rs 20 crore deal with Adlabs seems to be in jeopardy.

He was to star in four films to be produced by Vipul Shah (the first of which is Namastey London, releasing this Friday, which he has also directed) and presented by Adlabs But Praveen Nischol, CEO of the Film Production Division, says that Adlabs never had a deal with Akshay to begin with. "The deal was with Vipul Shah, and he backed out," he says.

When contacted, Vipul explains, "Akshay was to star in all four films with Adlabs, but I realised this would not be an easy task. It wouldn't have been possible for me to produce four films in one year.

The quality of work would have suffered. Hence, I decided not to go ahead with the deal."

All talk: Hrithik Roshan
Hawaa mein baatein or idle talk. That's what those so-called multi-crore deals between Adlabs and Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar were all about.

It's official and we have it on record: Adlabs never signed a deal with either Hrithik or Akshay on paper.

'Tender' pitch

An industry source says, "Initially, everything was hunky-dory. But after stories about Hrithik Roshan's Rs 36 crore three-film contract appeared in the press, talks between him and Adlabs soured.

Presently, no such deal exists." When asked about the status of Roshan Jr's deal, Adlabs chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty tells us, "I have no clue how the news got splashed all over the media.

The fact is that it is only a proposal. If anything significant happens, we will announce it. As of now, I have nothing to say on this."

Double jeopardy

It ain't happening: Akshay Kumar
Now, even Akshay Kumar's Rs 20 crore deal with Adlabs seems to be in jeopardy.

He was to star in four films to be produced by Vipul Shah (the first of which is Namastey London, releasing this Friday, which he has also directed) and presented by Adlabs.

But Praveen Nischol, CEO of the Film Production Division, says that Adlabs never had a deal with Akshay to begin with. "The deal was with Vipul Shah, and he backed out," he says.

Hrithik asked wife before kissing Ash

KISS ME NOT: The Hrithik-Ash liplock had raised eyebrows and sparked off controversies soon after the movie was released.

New Delhi: Remember the sizzling Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai kiss in Dhoom 2? There was more to it than we thought.

Hrithik apparently had a full-fledged discussion on it with his wife Suzanne and only after she approved of it and 'encouraged' him, did he go ahead with the scene.

We guess it has a lot to do with the fact that Hrithik is a very family-oriented person and his wife's approval means the world to him.

And regarding the liplock, a few months ago reports had said that the Bachchans asked Yash Raj Films to axe the scene that shows their to-be daughter-in-law (Aishwarya) doing a "bold smooch".

However, Dhoom 2 director Sanjay Gadhvi refused to comment on the issue and maintained that his relations with Yash Raj Films haven't been effected due to the controversy.

The liplock had raised eyebrows and sparked off controversies soon after the movie was released on November 24 last year. A lawyer had even filed a legal suit against Hrithik and Aishwarya. However, no formal action was taken against Yash Raj Films.

The Bachchans never approved of the Ash-Hrithik liplock and speculation was rife that Abhishek had stopped talking to Hrithik after seeing the kissing scene.

Now with the Ash-Abhishek wedding round the corner, it seems the Bachchans are all out to get a squeaky clean image of their would-be bahu.

Ash, Rohan team up for Lux ad
Updated: 03-21-2007
Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) After 'Kuch Naa Kaho', Aishwarya Rai teams up once again with Rohan Sippy, this time for a sizzling Lux commercial.

< =text/> < src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js" =text/>

'That's right,' said media recluse Aishwarya. 'Rohan and I have been friends for ages.

When his name cropped up for the new Lux commercial, I immediately grabbed it. We shot the ad in Dubai and it's turned out really hot,' the actress told IANS.

Talk veers to rumours that Aishwarya has not been giving ample time to the promotion of her films.

'Not true at all! I've been virtually living out of suitcases, running from location to location all over the world, trying to get my four new films ready. Even then I've always made myself available for the promotion of all my films.'

She admits being hard pressed for time during the release of 'Mistress Of Spices', and therefore being unable to participate in the promos.

'I nevertheless agreed to a number of one-on-ones on the film. What could I do if the press persons were looking for more spice than I could give them about the film?' she laughed, dodging all questions on her personal life.

Right now, she's all set to promote Jag Mundhra's 'Provoked' in a big way.

'Provoked' is the harrowing tale of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a battered Punjabi housewife and mother of two who is beaten and raped by her alcoholic husband.

'It's a film and theme I completely believe in. I suggested we get the real Kiranjit Ahluwalia, whom I play, into the promotional loop for 'Provoked'.

'As for me not dubbing my lines in the Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions, I speak Punjabi in the original English version of the film. So, the Punjabi version needs no dubbing from me. For the Tamil and Telugu versions I've asked them to get professional dubbing artistes who speak in these languages. How would I sound speaking in Tamil and Telugu? I don't think Hrithik (Roshan) dubbed for the South Indian versions of 'Krrish'.'

Her last word on the bikini controversy in 'Dhoom 2' -- 'Thank god people have stopped talking about it. It was never me.'
