Anupama Verma

Anupama Verma is a real lady. She looks the part, and she will bring oozes of style and fashion to the Bigg Boss household. With her stunning good looks, she has worked as a professional model but also starred in her own music videos.

There's more! She's even got an MBA degree and has previously worked for Citibank. Anupama is photographer Shantanu Sheorey's discovery. She was video tested by him when she was still only in the ninth standard. She recounts, "Shantanu had come to Delhi looking for a model for a Digjam shoot. A common friend introduced me to him. He video-tested me, liked me and chose me to model opposite Shekhar Kapur."

After a dream start, she ventured slowly into modelling and music videos. Anupama will make a very good addition to the Bigg Boss household as she's simply unique in style and contemporary in nature. She'll bring her own style to the Bigg Boss household and will either make fast friends or quick enemies with her fast talking style.

One of the prettiest faces in the glamour business, Anupama Verma has always remained very true to herself. Even though her personal life has taken the front till now, she's finally realised that her film career is top priority today.

But for the meantime, the next 100 days in this siren's calendar are fully booked.

Ragini Shetty

Ragini Shetty perhaps has the most important role in Bigg Boss. She is the Bigg Boss spy… a fake celebrity with loads to prove… she has to create a whole new identity, create white lies after white lies to convince the Bigg Boss contestants she also is a celebrity.

Can Ragini carve out a successful future by simply lying? It worked for Chanetelle in Big Brother UK.

Amit Sadh

Amit Sadh is an inspiration to millions. His own life story could very well be made into a Bollywood story and shown to millions.

At the age of 20, he left home for Mumbai in pursuit of his dream to make it big in Bollywood. He got his big break in Neena Gupta's Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr. His debut character Aady made him a star, so much so that even after quitting the serial, people still call him Aady.

At present he busy shooting for Sony's Saasksshi and Sahara's comedy Zaroorat Hai that's besides enjoying his other passion- adventure sports. He has also been chosen as one of the lucky 13 to appear in the Bigg Boss contest which will guarantee him future and immediate stardom.

Amit's Bigg Boss predications are quite simple, he will simply find it too hard to survive in the Bigg Boss household, he'll either get voted out quite soon, or will simply be dominated by the other strong personalities in the Bigg Boss household.

If he wins it, we'll eat our hats!

Aryan Vaid

They reckon Aryan Vaid is the sexiest man in India. 'They' obviously haven't seen me yet! But the former chef who loves his food was actually voted the sexiest man in India, thanks to the Graviera Mr. India contest

Before becoming a supermodel, he tried his hand at several interesting professions. His love for food led him to join a three year catering course at a college in Mumbai. He worked as a chef at the Leela in Mumbai before running his own catering business. Later he joined Sahara airlines as a flight purser.

Aryan is also a movie buff and soon will be on the silver screen with his debut flick Heartbeats opposite Pooja Batra. He's also a bit of a romantic, and lives his life according to the following quote

Love is a wonderful emotion, but in my opinion it is also the most overrated and least understood of all. Many of us mistake attraction for love. I personally believe that love can exist only when the attraction and initial infatuation fades away.

Aryan's appointment as a contestant in Bigg Boss will really fire things up in the sparks category. The girls will adore him while the guys will see him as a real man and a good laugh.

Bobby Darling

Bobby Darling is a world record holder. No, he hasn't eaten the most hot dogs in 30 mins, nor has he claimed any major endurance records, but he is the first gay who has done the maximum number of films and serials in Bollywood in gay roles. Probably not the kind of record you want to write home about, but hey, at least he's in the Guinness Book of Records.

Bobby's real name is Pankaj Sharma, after 'discovering' his sexuality his father promptly disowned him, and Pankaj fled to Mumbai to reinvent himself as Bobby Darling.

His pin ups include Akshay Kumar and Yuvraj Singh, who he finds to be quite hot, turn him on whenever he watches them on screen or off it. He is now working in Mysteries Shaque, Dil Bhi Kya Cheez Hai, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Taj Mahal, etc as a gay and looks forward to having an eventful career in Bollywood!

Bobby is perhaps Bigg Boss's most controversial contestants. Openly gay he is sure to court much attention through his loud personality and his need for constant attention. One thing if for sure, if an over exuberant Bobby Darling starts arguing with a tired and cross Rakhi Sawant, then fireworks will fly and the Bigg Boss producers might just have some entertainment coming their way.

That's probably why he was invited on in the first place.

Carol Gracias

Leggy model Carol Gracias will make a fascinating albeit mysterious addition to the Bigg Boss household. Winner of the Femina Look of the Year in 1998, Carol soon shot to fame with her own unique style of modelling and a vibrant personality.

Family is very important to Carol. She has one younger brother who she dotes on. She's also very clued on for a model, she feels education is a must for young women and is interested in doing a PHD in child psychology in the future.

But the real question is, how will she fare in the Bigg Boss household for 100 days with 12 other contestants, each one as famous as she is, and each one with a different personality.

Her friends have described Carol as fun, predictable, crazy and naive! She also loves food and music. Crazy is perhaps an accurate description, as in a recent fashion show, Carol's dress came off (Phew!) and hours later she could be seen on throughout India, not on television sets, but on mobile phones as MMS clips.

One thing is for sure, with such ruthless ambition and assured confidence, Carol won't be one of the quiet ones in the Bigg Boss household this year!

Rakhi Sawant

Rakhi Sawant is very sexy. Her sultry figure and big eyes have made her a constant pin up with millions of admirers throughout India.

An arts student with Mithibai College, Rakhi shot to fame when she was still in school, when Bollywood director Suneel Darshan cast her as an Item Number opposite Govinda in Joru Ka Ghulam. Three years later she auditioned four times before winning her breakthrough Item number Mohabbat hai Mirchi in Chura Liya Hai Tumne in 2003.

Rakhi's also had several controversial times; her father who dislikes the film industry was dismayed when his baby daughter entered a profession that he considered disrespectful. Her father now lives alone and Rakhi is the sole provider for the Sawant family, including her brother Rakesh, who is in the process of directing his first film.

So how will Rakhi fare in Bigg Boss? We feel Bigg Boss is simply made for someone like Rakhi Sawant. Outspoken and a rebel by nature, we eagerly await when someone in the Bigg Boss household gets under the nose of Rakhi Sawant and has to pay for it!

Rahul Roy

Rahul Roy is the real and only Bollywood star in the Bigg Boss household. Everyone knows Rahul and boy does he know it!

He first came to fame in the exquisite musical Aashiqui, but reverted back to TV roles over the last few years. He's now back in the movie fame and plays an important role in Vishesh Films' forthcoming film, entitled Showbiz.
Apparently inspired by India TV's Sting Operation, Showbiz will dwell on the casting couch, spycams, camera phones, and sting operations. Cashing in on the hype, the Bhatts have also cast Shakti Kapoor in the film. Rahul Roy will play an insensitive media baron who has no qualms with encroaching on celebrities' private lives.

One can again see lover boy Rahul Roy into the thick of things by his godfather Sudhakar Bokade turning director. In his directorial debut film, 'Mera Joota Hain Japani', Rahul can be seen with stars like Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Sushmita Sen. Lets hope this turns out to be the film Rahul Roy.

His inclusion in the Bigg Boss household is a master stroke by Sony. He's not a massive star by any standard but he's not completely unknown also. His vast experience and connections will probably make him an instant hit with the ladies and also the blokes too. Watch out for Bobby Rahul!

Salil Ankola

Salil Ankola is the real sportsmen of the Bigg Boss household. A former national cricketer, Salil played for India 25 times and on his debut for Bombay took a hat trick and scored 43. He was soon drafted into the Indian side where he made his test debut against Pakistan and took 2/128.

However due to a weak game he turned to acting and simply hasn't looked back. He's also a car nut and one of his best 'car-buddies' happens to be none other than Sachin Tendulkar. "We are always talking cars," says Salil who is among the few to have driven Sachin's Merc CLK. "Of course Sachin is cool about it, but I'm a little nervous while driving his Merc. It's damn precious to him and that's always on my mind."

How will Salil cope in Bigg Boss? We think he'll be bowled over the beauty of Carol Gracious and probably hit for six by the sultry Rakhi Sawant! He'll make good pals with Amit Sadh and will enjoy the whole experience.

He won't win it, but it might be close. It's time to get that personality revving away Salil!

Deepak Parashar

Model-turned-actor Deepak Parashar, who plays Sujal's suave 'papa' in Kahiin To Hoga (KTH), and who donned the 'royal robes' of a Mughal badshah in the costume drama Chandramukhi, expected to commence telecast shortly on SaharaOne is the latest Bigg Boss contestant announced by Sony.

A small hard working actor, this will without doubt be the most exciting stage of Deepak's career and we here at Bigg Boss think he is a dark horse to win the event!

What?!! Are you crazy?? We hear you ask. Hold on, chill out and read on…we really think he could be one of the favourites.

Well he's certainly no Aryan Vaid, but remember to win Bigg Boss, one has to win over the general public, and because Deepak's roots are more humble and moderate compared to others, we feel audiences will be able relate to him in much detail and hence he will become extremely popular in the Bigg Boss household. We also think he will be very popular with the ladies who always like a more independent and less of an arrogant superstar that perhaps Vaid and Bobby Darling could be accused of.
