If you've happened to chance upon Sony's latest reality show, 'Bigg Boss' that is currently on air five times a week, you will know what an absolute debacle the show is turning out to be. When the channel first announced the show, many eyebrows were raised about the availability of the alleged 'big stars' that had been roped in to stay together for three months with absolute no contact with the outside world.
Although the concept is rather interesting, (again it's not an original but a copy of the international hit show 'Big Brother') the channel seems to have quite a turkey on its hands simply because of the choice of participants they've roped in to 'live together'.
If watching Rakhi Sawant with her ample paunch and dreadful tattoo's washing dirty clothes and dancing before cows (in tight tee's where her assets threaten to topple out!) wasn't bad enough, the audience also has to bear with Ravi Kishen's abusive language and constant bawling of how much he loves his wife and misses his daughters. Wonder if he misses good friend Nagma as well.
Last week saw the elimination of Bobby Darling, who was hoping to win the prize money two crores (that's the price you get for surrendering three months of your life and being under the scanner 24/7) to pay for her/his sex change operation. While we were quite disappointed with her elimination, at least the torture of not seeing her shave every morning and prancing around with weird wigs and makeup has ended.
This week Rupali Ganguly (miss cry baby), Deepak Parashar (mother hen in an Osho-like garb) and Ravi Kisen (Mr. Expletives galore) have been chosen for elimination. Not that any of them will be missed after being sent home but we're hoping Ravi stays back. In-between reading people's palms, disobeying most of the rules of the house and just generally contemplating aloud on his life, he's the most entertaining of the three. Rahul (long locks) Roy prefers keeping to himself most of the time, while Deepak Tijori who replaced Salil Ankola in show probably doesn't know what he's got himself into. But the bright side is that at least he won't be making any movies for the time being. Oops!
Carol Gracias's valiant attempts to learn Hindi are laudable as is her attempt to stand up against Miss Fighter Cock Kashmira Shah, who seems to be quite a character with her chameleon like personality. Anupama Verma, who is allegedly getting married after the show is apparently the object of affection for 'muscle man' Aryan Vaid. The other contestants Ragini (Bigg Boss's undercover agent) and Amit Sadh just aren't interesting enough; their elimination on the show won't break any hearts.
So while Sony is trying its best to boost TRP's, we wonder what will happen at the end of 3 months. But it's nice to see the so called 'celebrities' embarrass themselves by bitching, backbiting and fighting amongst themselves. It certainly takes guts to do that on national television.

The sudden ouster of Salil Ankola from Bigg Boss had given rise to speculations about his replacement. And all that ended when Sony finally roped in actor- producer-director Deepak Tijori as the new member of the Bigg club. Now, with a new entrant on-board, we can look forward for more drama in the coming days.

We'd like to cite that Deepak's association with the already existent member, Rahul Roy goes way back, since the Ashiqui days! So it will be interesting to watch their bond like old time buddies!

Deepak has been watching Bigg Boss regularly but being part of it is quite a new feeling for him. But what awaits him are the orders from the Bigg Boss, the tasks to be undertaken along with his fellow housemates, and of course living life under house arrest!

Here's a succinct of how Deepak surprised the inmates of his new house:

It all happened at the crack of the dawn, around 4.30 am, when all participants were asleep; Deepak Tijori entered the Bigg Boss's den. The first to wake up was Rahul Roy, as he crept out of bed to see who was sleeping on the couch in the living room. Rakhi was the next one to take notice. Finally Rahul, along with Kashmeera and Rakhi lifted the blanket from the stranger's body, only to discover to their pleasant surprise that the man is no other than their pal Deepak Tijori. There was euphoria among the participants, especially in the case of Rahul who met his buddy after a long time. Now, Deepak is their new companion, who is going to be their soul mate--for good times and bad, in happiness and joy.

Would Deepak Tijori, the new entrant to the house make more friends or enemies? Will he be ousted in the next round or will he be the lambi race ka ghoda? Lets bid time!

The stage is set. It's time for yet another knock out/elimination session!

Bigg Boss, the Sony Entertainment Television's reality show focusing on 13 celebrities spending some 91 days in a room full of cameras, has one contestant quit the show each week based on audience votes.

The first to leave was Bobby Darling, who wanted to stay on as she desperately needed the money for a sex change operation.

This week, there are three contestants in the danger zone -- television actress Roopali Ganguli, Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishen and actor Deepak Parasher, the oldest member of the show.

Who would you like to see out of the show?

Don't restrict yourselves to the three in the danger zone. Your vote could nix the flirty Aryan Vaid, group leader Kashmira Shah, item girl Rakhi Sawant or even new entrant Deepak Tijori.

Day 13 in the Bigg Boss House

8am on the 13th day in the Bigg Boss house, and the housemates wake up to a new morning and a new face in the house. One by one, they go by the sofa in the lounge wondering who this new entrant is who's sleeping? It comes as a complete shock when they realise that Deepak Tijori has entered the Bigg Boss house.

The housemates welcome Deepak Tijori with open and loving arms, but will these arms be open for long?

Rahul and Tijori get along very well having started their career together as well in Aashiqui. They bond immediately and Rahul starts gives Tijori a low down on the housemates, although a very biased low down. But very quickly, Tijori takes on the role of Baba, a.k.a. Rahul and starts giving advice to the other housemates starting with Ravi. At the same time, Tijori also gets acquainted with the Tom Cruise of the Bigg Boss house - Aryan - and his love life.

Somewhere in the girls room, Kashmira who welcomed Tijori with open arms just a couple of hours ago is feeling very threatened by him. She discusses her thoughts with Rakhi and also their future game plan. Rakhi suggests that she'll try and get amit to fall for her, and if that happens, then amit will not nominate Rakhi. And if Rakhi does not get nominated, then Kashmira's survival chances in the house are greater. So far Tijori feels settled in the house, but little does he know that it may not last for long!

ARE YOU REEEAADDDYYYYY! It's practice time in the Bigg Boss house and the housemates are gathered in the activity area. But they don't really seem bothered by it and are actually playing cricket! Tijori, Ravi and Deepak are chatting away when Tijori comments that if Deepak goes from the house, Ravi will miss him the most as he acts like the foundation of the Bigg Boss house. On one side, Tijori is forging relationships with the housemates, and on the other side, Kashmira is influencing Anupama with hre gossip. Needless to say that she's broken her promise from yesterday to not bad mouth anyone. Kashmira tries to make Anupama understand that Rahul is the biggest player in the house - he tried to break off Kash and Rakhi's friendship, he suggested that Rupali is the jealous type and more.

After the activity, the girls are back to doing what they do best - gossiping and bad mouthing the rest of the gang. Oh! And not to forget discussing nominations as well, starting with Carol. This time, its Kash, Rakhi and Anupama taking the gossip lead! The girls are now worried because Rahul and Tijori are the best of friends, and if they club together, then they girls have had it!

Deepak is feeling upset that the housemates have made a joke out of him. But Ravi tries to console him and make him understand that it is not the case and that he is their father, friend, big brother and the foundation. On the other side, Anupama calls Aryan to the side to talk about the girls and the guys. They feed each other gossip about Rahul, Rupali, Ravi and others. Aren't we thankful that there's Aryan and Anupama in the house to keep the love alive!!

It's 2pm in the Bigg Boss house and everyone's gathered around the dining table for lunch. Topic of discussion is how one changes when they are put into a situation like this. They are different people outside, and different in the house. But Tijori muses that it's just a game, and if people are themselves, then they will be much happier in the house.

Bigg Boss calls Tijori into the confession room to reveal that he will be the judge tonight of the housemates weekly task. The teams will be split into 4 activities and will also be provided with costumes and makeup to perform a live circus. Well, why wait - Let the circus begin!

First is the stilts contestant Carol who passes very gracefully.
Ragini fails the hoops, Deepak fails the disc, and Kashmira completely fails the juggling (see what happens when you gossip and don't practice!)

Surprisingly, majority of the contestants are unable to pass their task with Ravi not even being able to begin it!

Amit passes his juggling act, and Aryan passes his juggling act with his prize being a "jhappi" from Anupama.

So according to the task rules, the housemates have failed their weekly task. But they have enjoyed it so much that the housemates are not really bothered about losing it.

Back in the house, Tijori gets familiar with what the housemates get up to in the house after 7pm. Rahul responds that activities like swimming, dinner, chatting, cleaning, etc. is what they get up to. Surprisingly, Tijori has been very quick to get hold of the nerve centre of the house. He comments that the girls politics has to be kept in control if the house is to be happy. Well done Tijori, but could it be that you've just been watching the show and you have the upper hand?

Dinner time and Ravi's taken on a new avatar. He's discussing nominations and has portrayed the entire scenario in the most humorous way possible. The whole house is in tears laughing away. Ravi's surprisingly taken a very sporty attitude towards his own nomination.

Suddenly, Kashmira and Aryan are called into the confession room by Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss is warning them that BB has found certain housemates talking in code language. This is breaking the rules of the house and if it happens again, or nominations are discussed again, then that housemate will be nominated automatically for the week's eviction. Kashmira and Aryan are quick to think and decide that they'll tell the others there was a problem with their mics and hence were called into the confession room together.

Later in the evening, Bigg Boss officially announces that the housemates have failed in their weekly task. They get only Rs.500 for the weekly budget. so, what will they buy from the Bigg Boss menu? With only Rs.500 at their disposal, they have to ration like there's no tomorrow.

11.30pm and Aryan gets Rahul near the pool and talks about his nature, and the fact that he is political anyway by nature - main aisa hi hoon! Is he telling the truth to Rahul, or just trying to get Rahul over to his side?
