That is correct in case of sexual violation cases. Here the man has to prove his innocence. Actually what you are saying is not fully true. The voice of the accuser is more weighted than accused. Because sexual harassment can happen between opposite sex or even same sex and by opposite sex I mean even a woman can be accused of sexually harassing a man.

I find it absurd. Then we can talk about gender discrimination.

It is accuser who should come up with evidence. This is against the principle of innocent till proven guilty

Arre... even if she eats 100 chuhes, if she does not want to indulge in one particular chuha, you cannot shove that chuha down her throat. It's her right.

You can dislike her all you want, vilify her all you want for her "s**tting around," but that will never justify giving other guys a free pass to make advances on her in any form.

Burden of Proof

Under most legal systems, an individual making a sexual harassment claim under civil law is required to prove that the illegal and sexually harassing behavior occurred and that it constituted sex discrimination, a violation of dignity or a health and safety hazard. The respondent (the harasser or employer), by contrast, often has no burden of proving that the behavior did not constitute discrimination, a violation of dignity or a health and safety hazard.

You might find this absurd but this stemmed from the fact that most rape and sexually abused victims could not get justice because the laws in most countries stated "Innocent until proved beyond doubt of being guilty." In most cases there were no eye witnesses and scientifically only thing that could be proved if both had sex, which the accused would bend to have consensual sex. in case of abuses, the person would simply deny. Hence the laws related to sexual abuses was changed to "Guilty until proved innocent".

Hippo please your own advice and be logical. What she does with other people shouldn't matter and if this had been a legal matter then no one would even be allowed to use what she did with Upen or Gulati as a defense for what Ali did

sorry didnt see this.

i used this is an example. if the burden of proof is on accused (which btw is not) then sonali could accuse upen too. you did not get my point.
