I guess its gauna
Gauna is a northern Indian custom and the ceremony associated with the consummation of marriage. It is associated with the custom of child marriage[1] The ceremony takes place several years after marriage.[2][3] Before the ceremony the bride stays at her natal home.[4]Marriage is considered only as a ritual union and conjugal life begins only after gauna; that is marriage is consummated only after the gauna ceremony.[5]
Now as I understand, the tradition is there, so that the girl should not be complicated with an early pregnancy and hence risk on her life and even the baby...
so once she attains puberty and somewhat is older, she can come back to her sasural...
Now ofcourse in case of real praja, amar singh came 2 years into the marriage, so by the time ajab was 17 and pratap was 19, amar singh had come...
on the show praja are 17 and 15 respectively right?
so there was no gauna during 15th century? ajabdeh definitely wouldnt have gone back to bijolia, if amar singh came so soon😆
any idea, when did the gauna tradition start exactly? as far as I get, if kids are married at early age - like 8 or 9, then girl should be sent away for gauna, since the girl hasnt attained puberty...

Moumi too said that instead they should have directly shown praja + amar...5 years later...again praja lovestory and then praphool...how much time will they again waste...by the time we see some real movement in the story with chittor fleeing, and chittor attack by akbar and haldighati and all?
