In real life we should not ask such question to real victim.
I have never seen a real case, but in movies I have seen defense lawyers ask mocking questions.

Well, when we judge fictional characters, we use our moral and ethical considerations. Saanjh's actions should be judged just like a real person's.
HippoSucks: Nope, all questions to a rape victim are not insensitive. There are certain kinds of questions which are improper; the ones which seek to defame the victim's character, or which mock her pain.

Saanjh is defense lawyer... Abhi toh kuch offensive kiya hi nahi
The level is so low... If we are going scrutinise like this without looking in who's context it's said and the bigger picture... We are missing the fun... Saanjh Is not there to give some lecture.

"Why couldn't she handle rape? LOL"
Tanvi, does this question feel right to you? Forget about Maya for a moment.

I see some people are giving KD Pathak's exmaple here. 😆
To begin with, KD is a defense lawyer who always turns out to be right. So his questionings stand justified at the end of each episode.

Secondly and most important, KD never defended a person who was accused of rape.

So the comparison is null.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you know why so many women refuse to come forward and report their rape? Because of the harassment they're subjected to by the Police and the Courts. Steps are being taken to stop this; also, many human rights workers and women's' groups are working to spread sensitivity towards rape victims.

Here Maya may or may not be a victim; but that does not justify the question that Saanjh asked.

That's not even the point man! There is no stats to back up nor can one calibrate as to how a person/victim would tactfully defend oneself in an attempt to rape. So the conclusion Saanjh supposedly made from that statement "kuch bhi manage kar sakti hai" doesn't mean Maya magically has the superhuman ability to thwart a potential offender's advances. In order to prove Maya;s involved in some kind of subterfuge, Saanjh has to provide evidence to the court. That line of thinking in itself is flawed.

But having said that, she's probably going to ask what caused her to return suddenly to India and about the in-flight commotion.

On top of that she has restricted an eye witness from coming to jail on the point that samay coming to court will automatically prove her client as a criminal! She is willing to commit crimes herself for proving that Maya is wrong in front of the world!

Can't forget about maya because it's specially for maya only! This is the mistake here... To generalise...its For maya only... She will all aspects of maya as wife, boss everything. Yesterday nothing got highlighted much that's why that line took attention. If it was one hour there would continuation and many points would be highlighted so u wouldn't be giving much attention to it.

She said about maya and not real victims of rape.

She said maya could handle all situations so why not rape?!
iN this context Maya is a victim of rape...That's like saying all victims of rape are losers cuz they couldn't fight back the rapist!
