@shruti.cvs always put punch dialogues to confuse the auidence.There has been many instances where Maya gives killer dialogues and something happens to the other person but we consider Maya innocent.So Ayan must have been saying all these words in the other way.I mean venting out his anger about the keys and her resistence in giving that.He thought he can scare Maya like any other girl.But Maya is Maya.Maya knows how to stop a man from touching her.She was the one who put Samay in the car and dopped him out.She won't allow any man to touch her.not even a docter.That means Maya knows how to escape form another person.

This doesnit mean that I am justifying Ayan's act.I was just researching different possibilities.Thats all.

And trial of rape is the worst. I dont know whether you have read about a case called Suryanelli. It happened way back in 1995 in Kerala, where a 9th std girl was lured in the name of love then was raped at multiple persons for more than a month by some 30-35 people.
You know what the high court said when it let off all the criminals. How can someone do to the girl such continuous. There is no evidence of the girl trying to escape the criminals, so it can be termed consensual.
It took 19 years and a Nirbhaya to make the Kerala high court re open the case and punish the criminals. The case is still running in Supreme Court.

Have you read what amicus curie of Nirbhaya case is telling in Supreme court. That those criminals should not be given death penalty. Lower courts decided death penalty based on emotions. Nirbhaya is a case where we have eyewitness the friend of the girl.

Society emotionally breaks her, she is raped by the criminals, but justice system rapes her multiple times to the extend many women dont even report it. To me when Maya tells Ayan attempted to rape her, Ayan's surprise was how dare she. He didnt expect her to tell. A woman is not supposed to talk about such things as per his knowledge.

I get your point but you can't really generalize by saying that "rape is worse than death" because that what lead to many victims committing suicide.And exactly, rape is the one of the crimes where they blame the victims so saying that it takes away a woman dignity doesn't help.

Yup some men think that raping a girl would compel her to not show her face in front of the whole world but it shouldn't be that way at al.. I agree rape trials are extremely heartbreaking, but if we stay quiet, more and more people will get raped. So every woman should raise her voice and even if she doesn;t want to go to court, she can still raise her voice and educate people and the society that rape is not the victim's fault. I read all the cases and I am fully aware how rape can break someone emotionally. But let me ask you this.. Do you think that society somewhat contributes to tearing a girl's down more than the rape itself? The comments that people throw here and there are not to be blamed? Give this a thought.

Until we change the social system that always blames girls, we will never be able to enforce rape as a crime legally. That's why courts are not accessible to everyone and people will think twice before going to courts. It should not be the case but you know who is responsible for this? Us. We as a society. If we stopped throwing dirt at rape survivors and make them feel welcomed, that would help. If we as a society didn't try to justify rape, or saying that rape happened because someone wore a shirt skirt or drink alcohol, that would help too.

There is no point in writing an essay on this, but yeah your statement didn't seem from a man's POV for me but now that you clarify it, and I agree when you said that Ayaan didn't expect it at all that Maya would talk

Check the portion where Maya comes to stop Ayan while looking through the hole.At that time the keys were in the table.after arguments Ayan pushes Maya near the very same table.Check the table then.The keys are not there.So obviously Maya took it.It was then Maya holds her hands near her chest and Ayan says the dialogue that she can keep.the keys wherever she please.he will.definitely take it.It was a challenge.

Beautiful post Shruti di. The sanskars that Vandy boasts of giving his son... & Ayaan tool tells ' mein bhai nahi hoon '' but I think he's worse than his brother. He's caught naked in some go down where obviously he was having sex with a woman who had robbed him of his clothes even... How old was Ayaan then? He drinks which obviously boys of his age does... Visits po*n sites... & now after mouthing disgusting words he tries to manhandle and maybe take her too!

This boy maybe framed by Maya but what justification will CVS give about his lecherous looks and his disgusting comments! No well brought up but will ever say to a woman such things... like mother like son... when provoked their true nature cones out! Mom throws garbage on bahu and son molests her!

Actually I have accepted the fact now Maya is believed to have committed countless number of things which cannot be forgiven but then Maya is a product of dysfunctional parents. From childhood she has learnt when things so not happen the way you want you make it happen by hook or by crook.

But compared to her the other characters who are white I see them no less. Previously akso when Ayaan was caught selling drugs or something we never got a clear picture of what actually happened... Ayaan never told clearly how he was accused...so we can say his brush with law is nothing new! We can't put all the blame on Maya... She did not tell him to have sex with a girl in some rundown go down ! Ayaan was never a saint... & Vandy blindly thinks he's that! Her reactions mera Ayaan aisa nahi kar sakta was totes disgusting!

or me Govindachamy deserves death penalty for raping the girl Soumya. But for human right activists he is the victim and should not be hanged. Because he didnt kill Soumya, only raped a half dead girl, forcing her to jump from the train
This is why I find indian law always biased. First he was charged for lifetime and then they found out that the girl died not B coz he raped her but bcoz of injuries she got when she jumped off the train. My dear literate and highly responsible law why did she jumped off the train in the first place 😡

Back to the topic. As a society whether a man does crime or a woman does crime finger is finally pointed at women. And we women excel in that, to point fingers at another women more than men. Rape is the worst crime and women themselves side with the criminal when this happens. Women support domestic violence, female foeticide , infanticide in the name of helplessness. They allow themselves to be door mat. And if a woman stands up against a man women believe the man's words than the women's. Man's past is rarely digged at , while a woman's past is digged and ripped apart.
A women can never be free in the world no matter what and the problem is women herself. Trust me I'm the victim of these degrading comments. Some aunties has a problem by my way of wearing my dupatta and the length of my sleeves and they badmouth about me and my parenting bcoz of that. They say that if something huge happens then I'm the one whose responsible and a girl like me can never get a good family and a guy 🤢

@Y2K each one has to take step to support our sisters, daughters. I had attended a panel discussion in my office this women's day. One of the points I put forth was stop celebrating the roles of the woman. Celebrate her as an individual. When you celebrate the roles, a woman becomes the role, she becomes the centre of man's universe, she sees herself through man's eyes. Stop being the centre of the man's universe. Sun is the centre, earth revolves round it. Position of sun is based on earth's movement. This is science. Now a woman should decide whether she prefers to be sun or earth. you can move only if you are earth, if you put man in centre. If you move to centre you are stuck. And you are moving against nature also. Feminine is the change, Masculine is the order. If feminine becomes static, life moves towards destruction as masculine does not change without nudge from feminine. You go in a vicious loop. One more thing dont expect worship and dont be a door mat. Just be an individual

@krystal it is between power of time and time itself. Power of time is biased against Maya because of her past lies. I know Maya will lose this battle. Because she has too many lies and manipulations against her. No one will believe her. it is like Arthur Hailey's detective where a man on death row on the day of execution meets the protoganist and tell him out of the several murders he has done, he has not done one murder. To corrobarate he gives info about 2 murders which police doesnt know. He is executed. No one wants to believe him and calls the protoganist mad chasing a serial criminal's words. But protoganist's chases as he believes it was the man's death wish. And it is a very intriguing thrilling journey where the real killer is hidden behind the serial killer. So yes Maya is bad. For me what Ayan did is attempted rape. His dialogues, looks everything points towards that. But past of Maya will help him to go scott free. You need one person to trust Maya when she says yes indeed it was an attempted rape. But to prove that it will be difficult. History has to repeat. Certain actions has to be done by Maya this time not alone as she wishes but she has to move with Samay, so that the proof all past of many people emerges from the cup board.
