But then he did rip her clothes, he pulled her hair, and he bit her neck...
it's disgusting... he had not right to do that for a mere key!
also I see that you were saying "anything worse than death" is not necessarily rape... well in a country India, where sex and rape culture is maligned, rape is what is considered worse than death!

i seriously doubt ayan character now..was he really innocent in drug case??? if ayan was only searching keys as some people claim then why didn't he confess that to saanjh???he could have been told "yes i misbehave with her ..but i was only trying to get the keys" she was repeatedly asking what actually happened? she was not accusing him ...but he was only telling "i didn't do anything"...that dialogue only shows how much innocent he is ...yes maya staged this drama..but she was only expecting physical assault but not sexual assualt from ayan...maya paid her price for releasing him in drug case ...

Maya did not hide the keys under her dress. She had it in her hand and threw it right after Ayaan pinned her to the ground. Someone whose apparently ONLY looking for keys should have noticed that immediately but he instead decided to dig the keys from her neck I guess. Even if I give Ayaan the benefit of doubt here that 1. He was only looking for keys 2.) did not rip her clothes intentionally, he is guilty of 1.) giving rape/molestation threats 2.) assaulting her both physically ( pulling hair, manhandling) and sexually ( biting her neck). When Samay stopped him, if he was indeed ONLY looking for keys, he should have mentioned that first.. instead he said " mein nahi chhorunga ise" . He was under the influence of alcohol and very angry. What if Samay hadn't reached on time? Ayaan was not just looking for keys. Thats the point I wanted to make. Any girl in place of Maya will feel threatened and should lodge a molestation complaint.

Excellent post Shruti. Will reply to the other points you raised later.

Rape is very much torturous for whole life for woman
I know in this dignity of woman is not lost but that of man is lost but women always receive it's bad and man goes Scott free and we women only justify men
As i have to of my story in some other post
Those incident are still eating me from inside but the men who done those deeds even forgotten everything but i have still hatred anger in myself

Sorry i believe it is only and only and only parent and our own sibling who can give love and support which will eliminate all this
But they get so much afraid of their dignity that and respect and most probably they get worried that there girl would not be married and they think marriage is necessary and that's the root cause
But if our parents or if we become parent teach our daughter live how you want and don't take tension of marriage there is life without marriage even then i think there would be no problems it is we girls or our parent who want hide our past to get married
If everyone would become open minded and boldly tell their life truth then the boy would have limited choice
Anyway i know the girl condition would never get ok it will get worse day by day
I don't know why people tell that girl condition has become ok from the past but when i see the wider result i don't find anything like that
I have taken discision of my life and hope every girl and family take rightful DESCISION so that a girl should get rightful place in society

@siri Misty you both have bought a valid point why didnt Ayan tell he was searching for keys. Atleast to Saanjh he can tell that. He saw Maya taking keys and she hid in the dress, he went to get that. Yes he didnt do that.
Also coming to other point siri I have put in another post now I am supposed to look not only at drug peddaling case of Ayan but the way he didnt allow Arjun to speak to Saanjh on the wedding also mysteriously.

@somu you are right. The idea that marriage is a necessity for woman has to go. It has to be a choice of a lady whether she wants to be married or not. If that idea of marriage a necessity goes it will liberate women from the mess. Over glorifying of wives and mothers have to go. Because both roles need to be the choice of a woman not the entitlement of a man.

You have put down everything so perfectly without unnecessarily bashing any character. And this is why I love reading your posts.
Coming to what happened in b/w Maya and Ayaan. I watched the episode and skipped that entire scene because to it was too much disgusting.
But I watched the precap for that episode and Ayaan's dialogues and his lusty looks were so disturbing. That's the reason I skipped that scene.
Whatever Ayaan did to Maya has no justification at all. He only wanted to save his brother right then he could have kicked open the door or even better, just call the police.
But no he had to physically assault Maya to prove that what he can do being a man. And that's the sad reality of our society. Some men think that the only way to prove their manhood is by beating and assaulting women. The even more worst thing is that there are many women who support this mentality. Now Saanjh going to defend Ayaan is also a wrong thing. She might not have seen Maya's condition but Samay was a witness to that and he would have told her what is Maya's state. And yet she's going to bring Ayaan out of jail. I don't support this at all. Ayaan deserve punishment for what he did and he cannot just walk away scot free.
Another sad thing is this forum's state. I can't believe people are making this into a couple war and supporting Ayaan. What happened is a very sensitive topic in this society and people only care about turning this into a fan war.
P.S: I have a doubt, are you a malayali?

@jane what I like about beyhadh is that it stretches the envelope. It doesnt fall short of showing the dark shades of human psychology. Whenever they bring Maya, they have ensured thinking audience can look from her perspective. Maya unsettles many people because in a way she brings out the darkness in you. She cannot win, because if she wins then the mask of many falls. It is easy to call her a vamp, prostitute because then you are safe as she is bad. Your facade is intact.
But if you call Ayan bad, then your facade is getting challenged. As we go forward more and more such instances are going to come where perceptions will be challenged as the show has crossed the half way mark. Only if you can watch it with open mind where even your perception may get challenged you will enjoy it. People need to understand there is no black and white in Beyhadh. It is grey a mix and that's the beauty of it also. Yes there were many ways to open that door. He could have just pushed it to open it. And there was no need to tell what he can do to Maya. Coming to supporting Ayan, I am not going to look what others are doing. That's their POV. I have put my POV clearly that's why I said I am with the 9 year old, not Maya the woman who might have done some bad crimes herself. A 9 year old whose innocence was snatched from her by her manipulating and criminal father and a stupid doormat mother.

Yes I am a Keralite from tvm.
