If Maya can get away with an excuse she's paagal, even ayan has an excuse that he was drunk.

I am sorry but since when is "Being drunk" a defense for sexual assault on a female? Then I guess all those cheap perverts on the road will say "I was drunk" as their defense. Maya may be wrong on SO many levels. Maybe every level to some people. But Ayaan was DEAD wrong in what he did.

Maya kidnapped Arjun, so then Ayaan will threaten her with "Rape" to get her to release him? Becuase lets not Pretend for a moment. That IS what Ayaan was threatening her with. Even if he didn't intend to carry it through. He was clearly not in a good place. But that does NOT justify what he said and also the things that he did. He crossed a line. A line that should not be crossed, especially between a Brother in law and sister in law. I have two brothers in law. My skin crawled watching that scene.

Ayaan is in NO way the innocent victim that he is trying to portray himself to be. He was playing a very dangerous game and it backfired on him.

Being mentally ill cant be a defense for drugging someone either. Otherwise all drug dealer would act as mentally ill people. There is an asylum for mentally unstable people, she should go and live there.

My point was none should be excused. If maya can escape giving 'mentally ill' excuse, then even ayan should be left becoz he was not in his conscious. Both should be punish.

One should goto jail, another should be sent to mental asylum. Period.

@ Preet:
I am sorry mate, but yes he was threatening her with sexual assault. He said that he will "Forget you are my brother's wife". "I will cross all limits". "I know how to get women like you into line". "You WERE my Bhabhi". "I have no respect for women like you!"

ALL of these lines implied that he was willing to go to ANY extent to get Arjun out of that room. He also said "I will make sure you can't show your face to anyone!". Exactly WHAT was that suppose to mean, other than that he will make sure her respect is compromised?

He WAS threatening her with sexual assault, maybe as a means of scaring her into giving him the keys. But things continued to escalate until Samay came and got him off Maya. But what we saw was an assault and what he was threatening was sexual assault or violation. The lines he spoke made it glaringly obvious. I am not saying he would have actually "Done" it. But he was sure "Implying" it.

@_IHeartFrienddZ_:
I am not arguing about Maya's mental illness nor have I ever said it was an excuse for her behavior or a justification. Some people may say such things, but not all of us accept or believe it.

But just to counter those people, one should not say that "Being drunk" is a defense for assaulting a woman and threatening to violate her as a means of intimidating her.

This is not a "Maya fans Vs Non-Maya fans" debate. This is about the fact that what Ayaan did was wrong, and Maya being a psychopath does not mean that now Ayaan gets a defense for his actions. No one said drugging someone is correct. How is it correct? Maya being wrong doesn't excuse Ayaan. Yes they both deserve to be punished.

For people who are stating maya blamed him for rape..Listen carefully she told he attempted to rape..As per his dialogues and his act, he sexually assaulted her..How dare he to push and tear her dress?? NO WOMAN DESERVES THIS, though how bad she is..She is your SIL Damn it!! I know you won't treat her like one..Atleast respect her as a woman😡

Pushing a woman and, as a result, tearing her sleeve is not considered sexual assault. This term is getting thrown around way too often without any basis.
