What part of his behavior was not an assault? What does a man mean when he tells a woman "I will do something to you which is worse than death". "I will make sure you can't show your face to anyone?" Why is everyone pretending what he said was not about sexual violation? His words were full of innuendo. So it's pretty clear what he meant.

If CV's wanted to show Ayaan as an "innocent" in this situation just getting framed, there was no need to show him ripping Maya's clothes? In what situation is ripping a woman's clothes OK? Even if it was to get the keys? Someone said in the part just before he presses his face to her neck, she throws the keys which were in her fist away? So if he was looking for keys why was he on top of her and pressing his face in her neck? Did he think the keys were in her hair? I think everyone needs to stop excusing Ayaan who assaulted a woman. He is not right and he is not justified. ANYONE in Maya's position would think he was trying to molest her. If that happened to me, I would think the same too. So stop pretending that what happened was anything other than a molestation. Even Samay was shocked to find Ayaan lying on top of Maya. Even if Maya is a killer, let the law punish her. Ayaan has no right to get violent with her or assault her or talk in a cheap way to her. The guy has shown his class.

Bold: there's one thing here though. The look of shock on his face came IMMEDIATELY after the word 'rape' entered his cognition. A knee-jerk reaction, that is. One that occurs giving no chance to the mind for 'preparing' anything.

Well, confusion galore.

Gaymsk: Nope, touching only the breasts, bottom or vagina of a woman isn't molesting. A touch on the knee, neck, stomach or thighs can also be molestation. A forced smooch is also molestation.
It all depends on whether the touch had any sexual overtone to it or not.

No no you're misunderstanding - Maya asking for this and a girl "asking for it because of what she wears" are two completely different premises.
Obviously a girl is not asking for her to be raped if she goes out in the night, alone, or with flesh revealing clothing - I am not saying that Maya was asking for it in that way.
When I say she's asking for it, I mean she had MULTIPLE opportunities to leave the scene/defend herself/run away from Ayaan, but she was persistent in her attempts to stop Ayaan from reaching Arjun. She was clearly provoking someone who she knew would hurt her. Her constant persistence in stopping Ayaan's path to Arjun is different to walking alone at night.
Why would Maya wave a piece of meat in front of a lion?

@Beyhadh it is like telling in your house you dont have any say. Arjun is Maya's husband. That was Maya's house. She asked Ayan to go. If Ayan wanted to get his brother he should have gone to police and come with a search warrant.
Entering someone's home, intimidating the occupant, telling degrading dialogues, physically assaulting to the extend of molestation makes Ayan a culprit. These things cannot be wished away.

It is like a man can do whatever he wishes and no law is applicable to him and law should be applicable only to woman.

i think ayan was trying to get that keys, but his action is not at all justified. tearing girl's cloths and using inappropriate language and still justifying himself. in my pov, ayan crossed his limits. no matter what, or whatever the reason but he has no right to touch any girl without her permission and he totally forgot that girl is his SIL. his elder brothers wife. so ayan is at fault.
