Strange enough your story reminds me so much of my friend ...its actually so similar. We were in school then & my friend had a tremendous crush on a boy who was six years senior to us ...actually they were very close family friends also. Now this boy used to be topper in his class & a very pleasing personality .. no nothing like Arjun ... he was very intelligent 😆 Though my friend was quiet junior to him but very mature for her age & he used to share absolutely everything with her . The 6 yrs age gap never mattered & my friend from crush it actually turned to love . i still remember the day when she found out he actually is totes crazy about someone else & even asked her to help him get that girl She was completely shattered ! ... & do u know who that girl is ? I don't know whether u know her or not but its Tridha Choudhury from the show Dahleez 😆 Tridha used to be in our school M P Birla & she was a year senior than this boy also .. so 7 yrs senior to us . Tridha was quiet a player in her school times ..idk if ''player ' is the right word used for women 😆 I mean almost all boys used to go gaga over her. . Its not that she was the prettiest in school ,,, she was one among them though, but she was a charmer . She knew how to make boys go crazy unlike the other pretty girls. 😆 & just like u said even Tridha use to make the boys do everything for her .
So now coming to my friends story ... my poor friend had to do so much for him.. like she even had to go to Tridha & tell her about his feelings & what not ...But not even once I saw her complaining .. it was always me who would react that y r u doing all this for him & go tell him about your feelings . But she just told me he knows... so i was like how will he ? u nvr told him ! but she wouldnt say anything more. I nvr got her .
Actually the boys Tridha dated always flunked 😆cuz having an affair with her meant u have to be prepared to be insecure & constant threats coming from your rivals ... so much drama went on in school for this Tridha . Her parents were called regularly . Same thing happened to this guy also . His results dropped .. since he was a topper in cls he didnt flunk but his scores became pretty average . And then my friend had to go through the trouble of listening how Tridha is still flirting with other guys in front of him.. how he cant concentrate on his studies .. how her ex bf is threatening him over the ph ...how Tridha always avoids talking about commitment ... like she's there with him but will not commit . For my friend i think it was a nightmare just cuz she loved this guy. Well as both of us knew would happen Tridha dumped him for another guy .. i mean she never committed but they dated & this dating thing too stopped .
He went bonkers after getting dumped & then started telling her that he knew she loved him but she was too young so he didnt think it that way with her . This is when my friend lost it & told him to F off .. since all these days he was ok with taking her advice sharing his problems making her to do things for him without thinking her to be a kid & now suddenly he gets dumped & comes to her saying we can give this a try since he knew she was in love with him all this time. .. Since he was aware of all this then how could u make her do all this !
But my friend had self respect enough to say that it was too late .. & now u got dumped & cum to me ! They r still friends but not close any more. She has drawn that line ..no more calling her whenever he needs her. Like she has stopped being available to her whenever he needed her .. no calling her at odd hours. She has got a new guy in her life also .. hes our age . Atleast to me it seems shes quiet happy with him.
What i am trying to tell is this guy ..he just had taken my friend for granted .. like shes the most available thing whenever he needed her. He was nothing like Arjun in this show. He was quiet mature .. very polite had a very pleasing personality . But he took her for granted & she showed him his place in her life when she could take all this no more.

This is why i don't like Saanjh character . Arjun uses her for his selfish needs &s he lets him do it. He fulfills none of her expectations but she still will kiss the ground he walks on. My friends love was not selfish .. she loved him & expected nothing in return. They would have remained close friends still had not he after getting dumped come to her & say about t to take the next step & all. . There is a limit to how much one can take .

I absolutely LOVED Sakshi Goenka and Simone Singh's portrayal of it. I liked only that character in EHT. They gave Sakshi's character REALLY GOOD reasons to behave the way she did.

But in Beyhadh, we have Maya who schemes and plots for the most absurdest of reasons. She's being vile towards people who're basically no match to her smarts so to speak. That's why I'm unable to relate to her. Jennifer's portrayal salvages the character for me.

You have just put that in right words. I did mention them in some of my posts. Maya's role is supposed to be like that. I don't think she is born with mental issues but she is a lovelorn person who really craves for it. Even in real life, people do undergo a rough phase in their childhood. Even the geniuses like Einstein had undergone this phase. People used to call him stupid but he has turned out to be a scientist. When that can happen in real life, why can't it happen in the fictional world?

She has been tortured by her dad for no rhyme or reason. We still don't know the reason behind it. Some assume that she must have killed her siblings which made Ashwin hate her but if that was the case, he only told Vandana that she made him a cripple at the age of 9. If at all we assume that she has killed her siblings out of her jealousy, any parent would send her to juvenile courts. In fact, any parent would keep other children away from her till the child accepts and adjusts with them whole-heartedly. That is the best way to avoid one child killing the other. If the couple has one child, that child will get full attention but if the other one is born, the attention gets divided. It happens in most of the cases. The place where I am staying is on the rental basis where the owner had given the birth to the second child but the first one was not happy and it took time for that child to accept. Whatever Maya is today, it is because of Ashwin and his tortures. Under no circumstances, a parent has got the right to torture a 9-year old child. His act of infidelity & child abuse is not acceptable. It was said that Maya is a grey chaacter which means she is not completely positive or negative. She will be good to those who are good to her & be the worst to people who are bad to her. Maya loves Jhanvi because she has been nice to her. Her intention is to protect her from people like Ashwin. The next person she loves is Arjun. Yes, maya deserves to be happy and I still stick to that. I personally don't want Maya to get the things by manipulating. But unfortunately, this is what she has learnt from life. She did not get any guidance as to how to get the things using fair means. Ashwin is neither a good husband nor a good father & Jhanvi would have put some sense into her if she had got time from her lafdas. Initially, everyone thought Maya would be bad but after watching the episodes, many began to show empathy towards her & they began to like her. Maya has done a lot of wrong things which are not acceptable. But true love can definitely heal her. But it needs a lot of patience. As far as her murder is concerned, we still don't know whether she has actually done that. I like the line you said, "Innocent till the guilt is proved." Yes, she tried to hit Vandana with her car as she felt that she will lose her happiness which she has been craving for long. Any person in that condition would do that. I am not a psychiatrist or a psychologist but I can read other persons mind to an extent. I want Maya to have a happy ending with or without Arjun.

Saanjh

I liked Saanjh at initial stages but when the episodes passed by, she became clingy and she behaved like a posessive girlfriend. She is chasing Arjun all the time. She was caling him for every 5 minutes. When Arjun does not pick the call, she was leaving all the work and come to his office. She is not supposed to come like that during the working hours. She is not as selfless as anyone thinks. She is selfish in her own ways. She told that she does not care whether Maya lives or dies. Being a lawyer, she is not supposed to say that. Saanjh has been good to Arjun and has always stood by him. Arjun has never loved her more than a friend. He only loves her as a best friend. When it comes to his personal life, she has to stay within her limits. Her threat to Maya saying if she finds her lost things, it will not be returned next time means Arjun. When it came to going her to Singapore, she stayed back because Arjun told her to do so. It means that she has chosen Arjun over Prem. Next is her eavesdropping and checking her purse is not at all acceptable nor it can be justified, no matter what. Setting or no setting. I didn't even like her detectivegiri. She has misused her position to get the information about Maya from the insurance company. Even that is one way of manipulation. She applied haldi on the mirror and mehendi on her palm with Arjun's name. Above all, she thought Arjun is not happy in his wedding without her whereas that is not the case. when she saw Arjun was happily dancing, she went to her room & threw her bangles on the mirror. Even that is the sign of obsession.

Arjun didn't even look at Saanjh before he went to the bachelor's party.

I appreciate your courage in sharing your personal life with us. But glad that yo found happiness in your friend's happiness and have moved on in your life. It is better to live & die as a single rather than being with the person who will take your love for granted. That is nothing but a doormat behavior.
