Is online trp useful for the producers of a show commercially?

Can anyone answer this question, prior to the online trp indicator we only had the regular BARC trp chart indicating a show’s commercial success, hence if a show got decent ratings it doesn’t get axed, is it the same in the case of online trp? If Beyhadh2 doesn’t perform as per the required tv ratings but does well online will they end the show completely or just move it online?

No one knows tbh. It's a fact BH2 is the most watched show online and Sonys only show in top 10 but tv trps have been mainly constant and lowest for the channel. I hope the show is given time to complete it's story. As such I heard from others BH1 had low ratings too.

As per I know about Sony TV they mostly don't care for TRP comparing to others TV channel like Star/Colors/Zee!

Sony TV used to launch show which airs less than a year or hardly 1year 6months.. But others Channels used to air long running shows only for TRP! For example, In Star Plus they launched "Yeh Jaddu hai Jinn ka" last year & that was supposed to go off air on February! But it got extended couple of months ago because of it's TRP increased.. They brought new track which totally destroyed the char of male lead Aman! Here I means Sony Tv isn't like that.. They will end the season & bring season2(like Beyhadh2) with new concept instead of bringing stupid concepts or destroying the chars..

Haasil was Romantic-Thriller! They ended as per the story line.. So Beyhadh2 will also air till the end 2020 only if it's gets extension also!

Sony TV don't end any shows brutally.. They give proper story line compare to other Channels..

Yes. But I hope the show gets to complete it's intended storyline.

Not sure about that. But I think online TRPs also matters for the PH and cast. When BH2 topped the online charts for a week even pushing BB to 2nd spot then entire cast including ShivJen and Producer shared the news and expressed their gratitude. So I feel it does matters

I am sure.. They won't end soon without completing the script.. Also Jenny was their favorite & also this season of Beyhadh launched with so much expectations & promotions..! So how will they end this show without proper end..

In this case, I will appreciate Colors TV because they will shift the shows to digital platform without ending the show suddenly like Silsila and Bepannah..
