Hello everyone,
Your response to my story has been so so encouraging. Thank you so much for all the support! I appreciate it. Here's chapter 6 of the story. Enjoy!😊
Chapter 6
There was a sense of comfort Zoya felt after she hit the "send" button. The thought of Aditya knowing how she felt was something that comforted her. she hadn't been able to share her thoughts and feelings with anyone. Her marriage to Yash had isolated her from all the people she knew- her parents, friends, acquaintances, everyone. In these years, she had realised the true value of a confidante.
Her thoughts took her to the day they got married. It was a small ceremony. A court marriage. Both families were part of their ceremony. The fact that both their parents were present, especially hers, meant a lot to her. They didn't seem happy about the wedding nor did they seem sad. Irrespective of how they felt, they were there. And that, for her, was enough. It was a sign from the almighty, that she had his blessings. Sooner or later, Aditya and she would have blessings from both Waseem and Harshvardhan.
She had worn a salwar kameez. It was a gift from Anjana. It was an anarkali. It was a mint green/pista colured outfit with a strong hint of gold. It had work around the neck and hem in ivory and pink and the dupatta was heavily embroidered. She was impressed by the outfit and felt good wearing it. She had paired it with heavy earring and gold stilettos. She had light make up on and her hair had a side part, braided on one side and the rest were left open (Check out Zoya's hairdo in the dargah episode)
On the other hand, Aditya had worn an olive green silk kurta with an off white salwar under it. He paired the outfit with jootis. They both made a stunning pair. Neither of them weren't too keen on their outfits but Anjana insisted on a traditional attire and also pointed out the paparazzi that would be present at the venue to click pictures of the newlyweds. They had to give in. The mere thought of the day makes her happy. It wasn't a big fat wedding by any means, but it was her wedding to Aditya. it meant a great deal to her and was a happy memory.
Meanwhile on the other side of the globe
Aditya lay on the bed. He had read Zoya's email. He had just finished a 6 hour flight and was done with flying for the day.

Hello there wifey,
I hope everything is well at your end. Hopefully, Mr Hooda is not giving you too much trouble. I am having a gala time here. My love for flying has increased after my return from the forced hiatus. It feels so good to be back. How are you doing? And, I want to know how Zoya is doing, not how ZoSh/family etc are? Toh batao, aur haan, as I mentioned, no boring details, ok?
Acha, about the new contract, I think you should take it. You have your doubts, and they are justified. But just know, in business, there will always be some degree of risk. You have to learn to accept it. Now that you've decided to keep ZoSh up and running, you must seize good opportunities. Just make sure that they are not harmful in terms of your physical safety. That's it! Enough gyan about your work.
Sanya!!! Long lost sister?? She seems nice. Let us meet up once I am back. Did you know, I always wanted a sister. I always asked my parents, to give me a sister. This was after Arjun was born. He is the best brother, you know. He has always been there for me, god bless him. But now, I have I have found a partner in crime. Noor. So it's all good.
As for your rules, I am ok with them and I AGREE. I'll have my own ready, SOON.
Cheers
Aditya
And then, he hit "send"
Once he wrote the email, he was thoughts took him to a different world. He recalled their marriage ceremony. It was a small ceremony. They got married in court with both their parents in attendance. It was a stark contrast to his marriage with Pooja. His marriage to Pooja was a very big wedding. everything was elaborate. it spanned a whole week and the world witnessed it. On the other hand, his marriage to Zoya was quiet, personal and close knit. After signing papers, they went to the venue they had booked for the get together with close family and friends. It was a luncheon style party. The decor was to Zoya's taste. There were elaborate floral arrangements, in colours of lavender, periwinkle blue, coral, peach, white, purple etc. The lawns were well trimmed with paths made of broken tiles which formed a mosaic like pattern. A lovely buffet had been laid out with a variety of dishes catering to all their guests. There was a photo booth for guests to chronicle memories of their big day. Even though the two of them were hesitant to marry each other but no one could question the beauty of the day. They sang, laughed, danced and made merry. They stole glances at regular intervals of time and had a gala on their wedding day.
Recalling the conversation they had before getting married, "Aditya, can I ask you something?"
"Sure"
"How are we going to pull this off?"
"Pull what off?"
"The wedding"
"Zoya, my dear, I think you've forgotten. We are friends first. We are going to treat our wedding day like a party. The biggest party of our lives. And that's how we are going to celebrate." he said in affirmative
"Won't your family, your dad, have an objection to that? He is high profile here in Mumbai. It'll hamper his standing in front of your circle." she asked hesitantly
"Firstly, his circle is not my circle. Second, it is our marriage. We are going to have a party for all our near and dear ones. We are going to do things our way and have a good time, or atleast try. He can throw a reception party and we can put up a show, do all that he likes and participate in the tamasha, sure. But our wedding party is not going to happen to his whims and fancies. Ok?" he said
"Ok" she said with a smile.
"So its sorted. End of story he said." and it was the end of any conversation that clouded their minds with doubt.
The memories made him happy. Zoya and he had indeed come a long way.
