Tempest: Kang Dong-won admits he was floored by Jun Ji-Hyun's charming persona just like her fans

It stars two of South Korea’s top actors Kang Dong-won and Jun Ji-Hyun. The actress plays Seo Moon-Joo a former UN ambassador who finds herself running for presidency after the shocking assassination of her husband Junik (Park Hae-Joon). Kang Dong-won was seen in a slick action avatar as an elite mercenary soldier San-Ho who is appointed to protect Moon-Joo by a mysterious client. The series is on the lines of Bodyguard as he falls deeply in love with her.

Edits of their scorching chemistry have gone viral on TikTok, X, YouTube and Instagram. This has made people curious about the show, even after its completion. Those who have seen it are shattered over the climax as San-Ho and Moon-Joo do not unite as a couple. Many believe Kang Dong-won and Jun Ji-Hyun have sealed their place in K-Drama history as one of the best pairs ever. She had confessed that she took on the role as he was in the main male lead. Ji-Hyun wanted to realise her dream of working with him before she got too old for the same.

In the press conference, Kang Dong-won admitted that he too fell for the charms of Jun Ji-Hyun. He said that working with her was a joyful experience and he would look forward to the energy and charm she brought on the sets. The writer of the series Jeong Seo-Kyung also said that Jun Ji-Hyun was heartbroken when she read the finale episode’s script. She began to cry knowing that the ‘open-ended’ climax of their love story. Well, she is all of us. Fans are gaga knowing that even the Broker star loved working with her so much. They feel this could be why their chemistry was so electrifying on screen.
