@ TM, it is not about glorifying rape. A lot of rape survivors go through all this and more during the trial. Even changing the lab reports are not unheard of - people with influence/money power can do this. Whenever the rape case is filed - people even police first try to find about the 'character' of the woman. Even medical exam of women is designed to humiliate her (that test recently removed after court order). If they show Saurabh punished without trial or the details - it will not look realistic - just like divorce of Ganga.
Sanchi is bad and she should face the consequence of her actions. Even a 'normal' girl would have faced a lot of questioning and accusations. Perhaps the creatives want Sanchi's redemption, so it is logical to let her face her past misdeeds. She should realised how she made life hell for others and repent for her each and every misdeeds. Digging her past is a given in this case and it should not be treated as glorifying rape.

And I agree with Esha that we should not assume anything - why say she could have done this or that when she did not do any such thing. Whatever she had done is enough to be a bad person, but assuming anything than that means we are biased.

I understand your concern. But I think that they are actually showing the real thing here. In real world rich people hardly ever pay for their crimes. Bribe exists everywhere. So maybe the message will be "you can't get you self out with bribe, truth always comes out"?

Oh Saurabh will pay , its Saanchi who will go scot free for wishing a baby dead and actually manipulating circumstances so that it may die . U see , all will know of Saurabh's crime , to this date no one even knows in Shekhar family Saanchi did this and wanted it . That is the extent to which she goes scot free . So rest assured the date rapist will get his due , its Saanchi who won't as she belongs to the Kennedys of BV ...The Golden Shekhars .

@Kools: She did everything you mentioned. That does not change the fact that your assumption is still an 'assumption' and not a fact. As mentioned before already, a lot of people have committed worse crimes than her, so shall we assume that anything bad happening to them now is "karma's kick"?

Did Dadisa pay for killing Basant's first wife? Or for being party to innumerable crimes and mental torture in the days of yore? The punishment for many of her crimes is JAIL. Did she go there? Did Jagya for bigamy? The answer is NO.

Just like NO ONE and I say again NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL other than Shiv, knows about Jagya's OUTRIGHT FILTHY & DISGUSTING Jamnesia drama, TILL DATE. Not Anandi, not his family, not his third wife, not the Shekhars,... NO one.

In serials - no one pays for misdeeds. Just some tears and regrets and redemption complete. The 'punishment' mostly is - ghar se nikal dena for some time, and some slaps. In BV - there were court cases against Jagya - he got no punishment even in court cases - just get bail and forget about the case. DS, Basant, Mahvir Singh etc. never got punishment but assumed to have got redemption.

Well krystal , NEVER said i did not make an assumption , that it was a fact .

My point was this assumption was very very strong and NOT laughable or poorly based at all .

About karma's kick , i don''t say it here , as i do not want to say it . I don't want to say that to a raped woman . But though i personally don't say it myself i understand those who see it that way , just as i understand those who feel outraged at rape though it happens to Saanchi , i understand where both views come from .

And no , for the record , i do not think of her as characterless coz she took the initiative with Jagya at all . I do not think that women who wear short dresses , drink or take initiative are characterless AT ALL . I made the assumption coz megalomania ...manipulating circumstances to HER will was her character , going to any extent without boundaries was her character .
