Ansh & Law of Diminishing Returns
"Simply stated, a "diminishing return" happens when adding units of a resource (for example, workers, raw materials, capital) in the act of creating a product does not yield as much benefit as previous, equal units of the same resources did"
Shivraj Sekhar, The district collector met Anandi in a dramatic way and was initially impressed by her beauty. Later on he fell in love with her for her virtuous character. She was educated, intelligent, hard-working, compassionate, brave and what not. He found much potential in this village belle.
He did not give it a second thought when Dadisaa asked him for Anandi's hand knowing that even the legal proceeding of her divorce is still not over. He came to join her in her biggest shock of lifetime; her mother's marriage. He did not let her go when Jagya came back to claim his rejected ex-wife even went up to threaten him when he realised his ill intentions.
After much hue and cry finally they got married. Anandi was mentally not ready for consumation. he gave her space. Finally Anandi fell for this dedicated lover and gave in. They fulfilled their relationship in the picturesque Kashmir.
So the returns of this long time-cum-energy invested relationship was at its peak. The man and wife had few months of quality time together.
Now the curve of returns goes downwards.
Anandi left her job. She does not prepare mouth-watering pakodas anymore, or may be not upto the taste of her mom/sister-in-law. She has nothing meaningful to do; she alongwith the other duo of house watches Sas-Bahu serials on tele. Listening to tantrums from anyone & everyone of the show is her goal of life now.
The curve now moving down-down-downwards beyond the red mark as Shiv might have realized his mistake in choosing the life partner who has no goal, no initiative and no coping mechanism in life. For how long someone speak for somebody if a grown up man/woman can not stand for him/herself. Even the mother kicks her children from the nest if the baby bird is too scared of flying. May be that's what Anandi needs now. A big shock which would make her think where exactly she failed miserably.
Being only good is not enough in life. You need to make your own place in life so that others would start respecting you on their own.
Anandi; respect could never be demanded; but commanded.
