If Ganga accepted the Jaipur job then people would say she has no self respect, why couldn't she find a job herself in Mangalore. No matter what she did she would have been criticised.

Jaipur is better than going to Jaitsar and those aweful people. As she has already accepted so many favours from Jagdish, one more wont hurt. Criticism or no criticism.

Hi Jan,
I have no issue with ganga accepting help (with humility or without humility). I don't equate arrogance with self-respect either.
However, I do have issues with her status and the timing.
When she was completely uneducated, had no shelter, was emotionally on edge, had no financial resources ... then definitely I will not fault her for lack of self-respect. In our helplessness, we will obviously look for survival... issues of self-respect are not even ones we consider. Not everyone is the daughter of a Birla, tata, Bajaj, Mukesh Ambani etc. A woman in ganga's position HAD to take someone's help. she had big zero in every respect of her life, and she was being pursued by a murderous husband. When she left the haveli that night, then too she was completely helpless. I would not cite self-respect even in that case.
Yet, at this point, she is educated, emotionally stable, has the skill and potential to earn an income, to find a job that will give her staff quarters housing... and if even now, she insists on going back to the Jetsar hospital particularly knowing that Jagya's mother and wife-to-be don't really like her... I see that as lack of self-respect.
Even if Jagya had offered her a job, she should still have turned it down because of the twisted nature of the family circumstances. Why put Jagya in a position where he is constantly getting into fights with his family over her ?
If now she is in a position to help herself, and she still wants to go back to jagya (and the singhs by extension) then it is not nice.

Sector,

What makes you thing Ganga is now emotionally stable? Just because the physical presence of Rat Singh is no longer a threat does not mean her inner demons have fled. Taking practical decisions (Jaipur job) or having self respect is all good in hindsight in perfect circumstances. What may be a congenial circumstance for you may not be for another. Ganga's scars (inner) are not going to disappear overnight, if at all. Every decision and choice she will make will be through that scarred lense.

Leaves, Jaipur MAY be a better choice according to you. But what if later, Saanchi and Sumitra had issues with J meeting G when he went n hospital business to Jaipur? Then people would have a problem with why didn't Ganga just stay in Mangalore.

Jaipur choice was a surprise to her. She did not think it through. She went on instinct and refused based on wanting to distance herself.

Sumitra only stops herself from doing bhangra when Ira's phone comes, so self effacing she is

Just see Ira ...how calculative and humorless she really is when she heard the word 'shart

she EXPECTS this , her mentality is out and out sexist

i felt very very sorry for Ganga .

No Jagya today 😔 , screen time was given to social service and

Shekhars with their unreal humor .

Real humor was Dadisa calling pilot a 'jahaaz ka driver ' .😆

As of now, only mannu makes me happy and he is the real jaan of BV now.

Those Jaitsar people have stopped remembering even Mannu. Heartless!

Anandi has not thought of phoning ganga even once. Strange! Atleast to know how mannu is.

Leavessandwaves, nurses are in high demand I think than Engineers. At least in USa. Engineers
Are least in demand because manufacturing industries have dwindled. Everything is made in China and Korea. But number of sick people have increased. Demand for healthcare workers is also
High.

How I wished Gauri showed up with her child when Shekhar crowd visits BH with their
Wedding date. I could'nt ask for a better episode than that. Where Sumitra will want to go under
Ground. Ira will do her rudra thaandav.
