Sumitra is wrong. For that matter every one is wrong in this whole track.
Sumitra was wrong in not being able to voice her opinion despite having valid points on her side. She acted like a coward . She should have convinced her family instead of making faces at ganga. Next she did not mind a woman going out of her house at night all alone without any support. That isn't right. she doesn't have to give away her life...but she can have the basic courtesy.
The whole pack of singhs, mainly the decision makers of haveli are wrong in not taking proper measures of safety and in ignoring sumi's fears.
ganga was wrong in not giving enough warning to the singhs about her husband. instead of searching for ways to leave haveli, she was focusing more on love and spent a whole day in crying which a victim like ganga is less likely to do.So on the overall, I think no one is right here.
@red bold - That was the most annoying part of Ganga... even while walking in rain she is not concerned that her child might get sick, but dreaming how she enjoyed eating ice-gola with her dream-man and falling on his body in the giant-wheel... what a disgrace as a mother.🤢
Even before leaving, she wrote in the letter 'I am not your worth, so I am leaving' .. who asked her for her worth ??😡
She knows jagya's rishta is fixed to sanchi, yet she wants to convey to him that she was considering marrying him but felt she was not his worth... How smart was that for a destitute victim ?? 😡
Yes exactly, dadisa realised her first responsibility was towards her family.
It was ganga's decision to leave and she is an adult to make her own decisions in her life. Ganga is not a child who does not understand her wellbeing.
First jagya was screaming and now anandi... both were not present when Ganga came down with her bag. They did not see how determined she was to leave...
Why jagya did not open his mouth and tell anandi that her leaving was well planned, she also left a sentimental letter for him ?? Why crucify poor Sumi?
There is no doubt that Sumi very much wanted G to leave, but is she wrong if she wished that. In my POV - No ( Looking at the circumstances in which Sumi felt that I don't find her wrong.) What would have been wrong is if Sumi had literally asked her to get out.Originally posted by: sectoreight
Once again I am asking. Is there really such a big difference in practical terms of sumi not asking her to leave, just not stopping her from going?
Maybe there is a technical difference or a difference in terms of language ... but in the manner that it counts, in this case, it was one and the same.People don't stop someone from going precisely because they want them to leave. If they don't want them to leave, they ask them to stay.Sumi is certainly responsible for Ganga leaving.
If anyways she had plans to leave then how would Sumi's stopping matter? And if we are talking about dignity, then isn't this the best thing G did for herself? So why are we blaming SumitraOriginally posted by: sectoreight
Missesha,
I disagree. I think that Ganga was right to leave before J came back.If he came back and she told him, then it would look like she was sort of manipulating the situation so that she could stay, because she knew that he would never let her leave. Her desire to leave would look fake, and she didn't want to have a drama of "no please stay". Her execution of her desire to leave before J came back was indication of the seriousness of her intention. And even if J stopped her, and G stayed because of J's insistence, it would not have been a pleasant stay in the house -- there would be no dignity in her existence and sumi would just be more angry and convey resentment towards her. It would be a very unpleasant stay. Ganga would have to stay like a kicked dog.
think yourself in ganga's place then you can understand her feelings...
