How did she assume that Jagya wont look beyond her for a bride? Behind all your anger and sarcasm, your reality check maybe harsh, but true.

I did not like ganga crying and becoming emotional at the drop of a hat. That makes her an emotional blackmailer. And all her enthusiasm for Jagya's remarriage looks hypocritical when she started crying at Jagya sanchi. Sanchi maybe bad but who is ganga to question Jagya's choice? this is too much. Anandi also is having a say in this matter because Jagya exclusively requested her.

I thought Jagya will be tying the knot with asha but suddenly they brought this ganga track.

One has to maintain a distance whether it is ganga or Jagya.

This is off the main topic but This maid salary firgure and conditions you give - are as far-fetched as any fairy tale or hindi movie. !!

Today - in Mumbai which is THE most expensive city in India - a full time maid with shelter - does not get allowed to go out and work too. And no one - gives them 15K a month. Not even in the poshest locality.

I know so coz I am here. Even drivers don't get more than 10-12K then how can a mere maid get that amount ?

Back to the topic -

Ganga has a good deal currently. She got rescued by a nice family that treats her like a house guest with her own room and her kid is very loved by all. Ganga was persuaded to study and clear her boards. She's been encouraged to apply for a nursing course to make her independent and she is safe from her vile in-laws.

That in itself is quite a lot to ask for.

She too is very grateful and shows it by helping out in the house and kitchen as much as possible. Yes - She too has fallen for Jagya and sees a hero in him as he saved her on so many occasions and he being gentle and kind, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous, has also pushed her into desiring him.

But in real life - for a person in her position - her love has to be doomed unless it is professed and returned in equal fervour by the other party - ie Jagya.

Jagy may feel a need to shelter her and her kid and may feel something more , but unless he can be clear about exactly how he feels - Ganga or Anandi or anyone else shud not make an issue about it.

Ganga is in a very vulnerable position right now - re her pending divorce, on the run sadist husband, no roof or source of income being the most major factors. A heartbreak like this shud be kept confined to soaking pillows at night. She cannot afford to find love too and acceptance from the family that has already given her so much.

Even in fairy tales - when princes rescue total babes in the woods, in a lot of cases we are told - the girl too was a princess but fell on hard times. This then is a very very lost case.

I hope Anandi will not mention this to Jagya and I know Ganga won't. But if Jagya figures out what he had (A) and what he can have(G) and what he has signed up for(Sa), and then has an epiphany - then I'll be the happiest person.

People in India have maids, whether part time or full time but they all do.

I had meant Off topic, coz I did not want to discuss maids in India while we were discussing Ganga and that was 'off topic' for me, not you.

We have gated communities here in Mumbai too, I live in one. But this is getting personal. And I have no wish to share any more of your or my personal life details on such a public forum.

If your maid got paid 15K, so be it - more power to you and her. Just hope the mumbai maids don't get to hear about it.

Going back to Ganga - I doubt the wages are on a similar scale in this hypothetical Jaitser. Plus - I wonder if she wants that to be her means to earn. Also, apart from this haveli - I don't know if there are any other well to do houses that wud hire her and then, at what salary.
