I may not agree with Gauri's earlier behaviour, but now I think J too has to grow up!! He has got a new job,( unfortunately on wrong belief that it is because of his capability 😆😆) but instead of thinking of preserving it, he wants to screw it up.😡 He is more concerned with what people are going to think about him. 😲 Mr Jagat think more on how it will be when you are unemployed? And where was this male ego when he asked for money from Gauri?

What any woman can do in such a situation? Forget for a second it is Gauri. There has to be some maturity from male side too. A woman should never excel, because it will hurt male ego! I don't think any amount of patience can help here? Even if he was with Anandi, he would have been feeling miserable under her success. The best solution is never get married to such immature men. EGO EGO EGO! I donot agree with CV's logic.
And another thing, how important Gauri has become in this 1 month. She has so much experience that she can teach J? Forget J, she has 3-4 assistants!! 🤣🤣

"He is more concerned with what people are going to think about him"

Hasn't he always been like this? For example, he felt self conscious about Anandi being a "gawaar" because she didn't know English and acted like a "typical villager". This wasn't a genuine concern about her, he was upset because to him, she was making him look bad.

He has no desires or aspirations anymore. I mean if you forget that this is the spineless bratty Jagat we love to hate, it's actually a little to watch. His ego has absorbed and damaged him so much that the only thing that he thinks about his redeeming his image in other people's eyes at any cost. If this means making Gauri quit her job and move to Banglore, then so be it.

I don't think the CVs are making us sympathize with him or his ego issues. I think it's to make fun of him and further roll our eyes at his character. And I guess they're using it to their advantage for us to see Gauri suffer too.

Actually these two are inviting trouble for themselves. ..they fight often at home for serious matters as well as for trivial stuff. Now if they both work together, forget who reports to whom, they will get more suffocated in the relationship. They have too much of each other!! J has nobody to turn to, other than G. G has her parents, but they do more harm than good by their wrong advice.
Both are immature and blind to the other person's mindset. If G has any understanding of J's nature, she could have forseen the issues. If J understands G even a little bit, he should be knowing that his lack of qualification bothers her a lot and she takes pride in her job and having his around will put her in a tight spot.
They both or either of them could have enquired with HR about the hospital policy for spouses/relatives working in same team and raised the issue on professional grounds. There is nothing wrong in requesting. It is upto the hospital to take steps. But by not raising the issue, they both may look unprofessional infront of others.
If the HR is competent, he would have already figured out the level of integrity of this couple. First G requesting HR to keep her involvement secret and now J not informing HR that my boss is my wife.
They both think alike and act alike, But the problem is they go wrong in the same way. For example, when J asked G for money and G refused, J could have told her " I don't have good clothes to attend interviews. I want to keep a good set of clothes ready for any future interviews. It is important to boost my confidence", J would better know that if G refused money, probably she wants to keep aside some money for any unforseen expense, so I should tell her the real reason . Same way, if G has any sense, she would have sensed the urgency in J's tone and would have guessed he wants new clothes for some important reason. Atleast she could have asked him nicely "Dear, whats up. Anything coming ur way?"
They abosolutely deserve each other. Both of them have low EQ, adopt double standards, are secretive in nature and they try to control each other.

I do nto think they are agreeing to his behavior

but i still don't get it, how is it possilbe to earn so many assistants in one month...and on top of it, remember what HR said that according to the hospital's policy they don't even hire anyone lower than MS...so who r those assistants working under a new doctor herself LOL...seriously, CVs r just over doing her character...waise bhi GaGa ka part kaun dekhta ha...too boring. I dont think there is anything wrong with gauri having to supervise someone just because she is new.

I mean if we join organizations at certain positions, there will always be people reporting to us who may have been there for years.
So, they may have given an MS doctor the responsibility of supervising MBBS doctors.

Your POV has added into my awareness. She is supervising MBBS , may happen.,. But it means other MS fresher joinee's would also be having same responsibilities.. That means they hire MBBS also. then HR manager's comment was wrong that we hire only MS..

Nice topic Avantika,

I don't think it is only about male ego or G's success.
J very well knew that he is appointed as Asst. Doctor, but he was yet very happy and didn't care that he will have a lower status than G in the same hospital. But here I think the problem is that he is reporting to his own wife. A couple should not share such a close professional relationship because ultimately it does affect their personal life.
And that is why most big companies have a policy of not to keep husband-wife in the same department.
And G too is no less in throwing her attitude and showing off her success, so its natural for J to feel left out. He is trying very hard to gather himself after all his loss, but before he achieves something, G shuts him down and humiliates him.
In my opinion he should still speak to HR and ask to work in a different department.

Very nicely put up. This is exactly how I feel about J-G.

😆😆😆😆😆😆Suppose , any one of J's team member .. In the assistant's team of G, passes a comment on G's beauty.. or in a otherwise manner..
J's Husband factor came in action ,, and poor assistant of Gauri.. who passed comments on her.. have a tuff time with J..
Later G puts her at Personnel Improvement plan.. 👏😆😆😆😆😆😆
Then at the time of Review..Gauri being a so called professional.. provide better feedback to other assistant then Jagya...

There was no legitimate reason per se except "I dont want to work under my wife."
It would make him a laughingstock, I think.

I still feel it is HR's mistake to put a couple together. Every HR understands the issues of putting a couple together in the same deaprtment. For the company it would mean less efficiency and involvement of personal egos. It would not be right be if G also had to work under J. Keeping a couple apart is a better decision for the company.

Well Tinoo had explained it somewhere in the thread. Assisstant Doctor doesn't mean assistant, but junior doctor. She is just supervising her juniors...
