Tanvi how can you say that J was always nice to G?! Why was he constantly lying to her and keeping her in the dark for such a long time? I don't think I would like to call such a person as ''always nice''!
He lied to her, he deceived her for 5 whole years!
The niceties you're talking about, well, he has shown such nice behaviour towards A umpteem times since childhood! Overtly ''nice behaviour'' doesn't make a person actually nice!
I don't say Gauri should have talked to Anandi or something like that. But I believe she should have kept away from such a man for her own sake, for the sake of self preservation!
Jagya has lied about everything - even his background, his name and birthplace! These things make him equally guilty, and not just cheating Anandi! The very fact that he feels ashamed of the very roots of his existence show how weak his character is!
Gauri should have totally rejected such a man, in fact any girl in right mind should reject such a fickle liar! You never know when he is lying or telling the truth!
G should not have thought about Anandi ka kya hoga, she should have thought ''ki agar usne ek ladki ke saath aisa kiya hai, toh kal ko kya bharosa hai ki mere saath aisa nahin karega?'' ''How can I trust such a guy?''
At least she could have thought on such lines!
And why do you forget that she is not some NRI or city girl who has NO knowledge of rural areas, condition of women there or their customs?! Being from the SAME BACKGROUND she should have spared a thought about Anandi! After all, didn't she keep talking about impact of child marriage on women's lives when she was in college?!
She should have told Jagya to divorce or leave Anandi formally first (even if she did not know about legality, at least she knew about the custom), and then come back to her. Instead of marrying without properly looking into rules and laws and coming to his house like a bolt from the blue!
I don't want to make a case for Jagya-Anandi jodi here, but I would still like to know how you can say that he didn't love Anandi and that he was being forced to be with her? He kept spying on her all through his teenage, he consummated his marriage with her after becoming an adult, he took her on a honeymoon too and he did keep her in dark for a long time even after meeting Gauri and feeling attracted towards her!
What a joke! You exchange love letters, consummate your marriage, go for a honeymoon, and the girl completely gives herself to you, but later you say you fell out of love and no longer want the girl! Hollow reasoning!😲
The reason why Singh family has come down so heavily on him is not just the fact that he left Anandi, but also the way he deceived everyone and kept everyone in dark, lying constantly for 5 years about everything!
How can anyone be sure who Jagya loves truly?! He imagines about one woman when he is with the other, and vice versa!
He started finding A inferior after meeting G and started disliking her dressing, her always being in the kitchen, her hands giving off smell of vegetables or oil, her childish games etc.
What is the guarantee that he will not lose interest in Gauri once she becomes his wife and has to indulge herself in all house work, remains busy with kitchen or kids and her hands also smell of vegetables, spices and oils and she begins to seem like a nagging wife?
Is he in love? Or is he infatuated? Is his love true and for real?
I don't think so, considering how he started getting miffed with her already in the haveli and started asking her tumhein kya ho gaya hai, you're not the same Gauri who I fell in love with! Why did he compare her with Anandi and tell her that she tolerated a lot but never went against his relatives? Why did he get reminded of Anandi's cooking when Gauri made the same dish for him? Why did he get reminded of Anandi during his first night with Gauri or while Gauri was trying to romance him in the fields in Jetsar?
Well if he wanted a modern wife, then why did he stop education of A?! He should have put his foot down and demanded DS to let A get educated, since he wanted a beendni worthy of his status! I am sure DS would have yielded to this (especially if he had threatened that he'd leave the girl or leave the house if DS did not upgrade her as per his status!). Anandi remained uneducated, because J also said he didn't want A to study further and agreed with DS to stop her education! That is another debate anyway...
As a woman, especially from the same background, she should have thought about Anandi and his treatment towards her and his callousness towards his own family. As an individual too, for her own future and safety, she should have thought whether such a man is right for her or not. If he could treat one woman like a used tissue paper, he could do the same to another too and make up some other excuse!
Wonder how anyone can totally absolve Jagya of all his blunders...?? And Tanvi, if you think he was lying due to family pressure or their fear, let me tell you he has been a compulsive liar since childhood! Be it about gambling away his father's money and his mother's jewellery, secretly buying dirty magazines and looking at pics of nude women, lying to his teachers and bunking school to spend time in gambling with older rowdy boys or playing video games, trying to smoke a cigarette, or trying to make little Anandi ''dress up'' and then peep through the door while she is changing or running away from home upon failing in exams...he's been a dirty, spoilt, spineless, characterless and mannerless guy! Lied about EACH and every thing! 🤢🐷
Heck! He used to HIDE his identity and disguise himself, even when he wanted to meet his beendni! Deception and lying is Jagya's way of life -whether he is under family or societal pressure or not!😡 [They want to make Anandi a politician, Ha! They should make Jagya one, since he's perfectly suited to be a neta - chor kahin ka!😆]
Men like Jagya are always looking for greener pastures. No sane girl should trust her life to such men!
Jagya is a crook. Child marriage is just an excuse on his part! It doesn't make his wrongs right!
