Well that's exactly what I said. Such type of overtly NICE behaviour he has shown towards Anandi too. Many times!
He was possessive about Anandi too. He would quarrel with even DS if he saw her being too harsh towards A. He once even ran from home to Anandi's village when DS kicked her out of the house. He would give up eating food and wouldn't sleep for days if DS made Anandi suffer too much. He would brag about Anandi and her skills (be it cooking or studying) in front of his friends. He was always ''Meri beendni yeh, meri beendni woh!'' He was only one who managed to convince DS to let her study so that she could also help him in his assignments and convinced her to let Anandi play gulli danda with him much to DS' objection! Even before running away from home to Mumbai, when he left a letter behind, he had addressed that letter to Anandi and left it for her, NOT for his mother or DS or any other member of the family! When he was overpowered by goons, he would cry and constantly think of Anandi!
When Anandi took a gun shot for him, he cried like crazy, gave up eating, didn't sleep all night and kept praying all the time in the mandir near the hospital till Anandi regained consciousness! [No one goes to such an extent for just a friend, in fact he never did such things even for his own sister. His attachment was deeper than mere friendship]
He broke down when Bhairon took the decision of sending Anandi to her parents' till she turned 18. He literally begged everyone to get his Bapusa change his decision! He would send love letters and gifts to Anandi throughout, visit her village in disguise just to get one glimpse of her. For every thing he took Anandi's help in convincing parents or DS. His SR or his honeymoon with Anandi - what was that? [If we say he did it coz he was full of hormones, then why did he wait for Anandi? He could have got involved with any other girl in the village if he was so desperate!]
This type of NICE, POSSESSIVE or ATTACHMENT type behaviour, he's shown for Anandi for many years!
So his niceness for Gauri is nothing extraordinary or special or one of a kind!
He is not coming back to Anandi, because he has lost face! He himself broke up with her on phone and declared he had thrown her out of his life. He treated her and anyone who supported her, like dirt. Now how can he come back?! Also, he is not back, because Anandi is not educated and ''modern'' like Gauri. Her not being educated is the main reason he thinks she is not fit for his new-found status!
And I don't know about you guys or your viewpoint, but personally I would never call such a person 100% NICE who had been blatantly lying to me, fooling everyone in college from professors to classmates about even his own name and birthplace! I would appreciate some nice things he did, but would certainly doubt him for being such a big time liar.
A lie is justified only if it is told for a higher or noble cause. What noble or higher intentions did Jagya have in even lying about his own name and birthplace??! [Child marriage I can understand, but being ashamed of your background is weakness of character!]
