RAYA SS - A Simple Wish Part 15

RECAP :

"Yes...ok then I will not be at the table during lunch..."

Ram held the back of his neck in frustration... "Ok my Liege as you command..."He bowed...and Priya giggled...looking how he is following all her wishes...

PART 15

Walking down the paved path of the garden...they stepped into the morning chills which was mixed with the mild sunshine..announcing spring was not away...

Ram folded his hands across his chest while Priya was just playing with her chunni...it was surprising to him...he had been driving each and every day across these streets but never did he notice the beauty of it...

The clattering sound as the shutters of the shops went up...the group of school going kids...chatting with one another...He laughed at the guy...who walked out of Starbucks...howling over the phone stuck to his ears...smiled at the newspaper boy who was riding is cycle...then came across the flower shop which he never noticed...the old florist was arranging the bouques while her young assistant was sparing them...the fresh fragrance filled him...Priya picked up a bunch of orchids and smelled...they complimented her dress...the sight left a crescent smile on his lips...

Ram pulled out his wallet..and paid for the flowers...she mimed a soft thankyou again smiling the flowers...

Finally taking the turn around the corner they reached the market...she bought vegatables...spices.pack of spaghetti and some other required things...never had he been to a market..and was awed to the variety of all the things...specially the bell pepper...examined the three kinds...inquisitively...Priya was giggling at his amazement which was that of a child...He grinned showing his teeth...placing the pepper back to its place...

Ram carried the brown grocery bags as they walked back to Kapoor Mansion...She just could not think about Owner of Kapoor Industries...walking on the sidewalk...carring the grocery bag..relishing on the chocolate cone of icecream...not the usual Tycoon she met in the lift...but yes very appeling against the Mr.Cryptic...She smiled hugging the flowers even close to her...as she bit the apple...

Reaching the Mansion...they straight went to the kitchen..where Priya placed the flowers..in a vase...while Ram unloaded the bags on the kitchen counter...

"So we shall start" she looked straight at him...while he shrugged his shoulder "Okay"

She helped him get the spaghetti boil... "adding a hint of olive will make it taste it better.." but instead of passing the olive he passed him clove oil... She laughed hard...and he just stood rubbing the back if back of his neck..and mimed "sorry"

"Why don't you do the easy stuff first..." she tried to be sympathic..but could not stop her giggle...

Placing the chopping board she gave him a hand full of black olives...He looked at the round black things..took the knife from its case...gulped down the lump taking a deep breath... "I can do it..." and looked at her...

She encouraged him to go forwards...indicating by her eyes...

He slid the blade into the small black olive...the first half cut into a perfect circle...his eyes..gleamed with the shine of victory...Never did he felt so happy..as much he felt now..

She patted on his shoulder for the success...the smile of his face filled her within..

The two resumed their work while she prepare the whole lunch Ram took his own sweet time to cut the olives...

Ram would be distracted each time she would cross him unintentionally to get the ingredients...her locks brushing is face..her hands rubbing against his...and the little smile they would exchange every now and then..

Ram finally finished chopping the olives...while Priya spread the sauce on the spaghetti...she took the chopped olives and garnished them... "Lunch is ready..." displaying the dish and also the ice cream, he sheepishly looked at her scratching the side of his temple... "You had to do all the work..."... "I loved spending the time with you..." she pushed one of the cherries into his mouth...

They ate in the out...sitting in the garden basking in the warm..sun...He enjoyed the taste of the food..mostly because it was cooked by her..He kept on praising the food... the small cherries that she diced to garnish the ice cream..also tasted heavenly...

Lunch was equally good as the breakfast...

While Jeffrey cleared the table..Ram and Priya thought of spending few more hours in the garden...

They stayed in the garden...in the swing...he laid his head in her lap...he talked..she listened..she talked he listened...as the clouds passed by...unknowingly..she was running her fingers through his hair...he was lost in the bliss of the moment..with the swing mirroring her hand...

But suddenly she stopped...he opened his eyes...looked at her..she was looking straight blankly...he raised his hands..snaked it between her hair.. "Hey what happened?"

Looking down at him..she smiled entangling his hair..in her fingers...she spoke in broken words because she knew..it may irk him... cautiously she started "Ram I want to know you..." and waited...

He twitched his face..his eyebrows joined "Want to know me...well you know who I am..what I do..and all those interviews.." his face relaxed and he chuckled...

PART 15
