Hey is Illiad or Oddessy also similar to Mahabharata storewise?
Am asking this because I always had this doubt that if Mahabharata is actually history and was such a great war as demonstrated with the entire world coming in, then why didn't any other civilization mention it in their records.
Egyptians were good at record keeping they also maintained a record about who ascended to the throne in Mesopotamia or elsewhere so how could they have missed such a big happening which engulfed the whole world
Yup about 70% similarity. I recently did a presentation on this very topic *shameless self promotion* 😆
Some articles also suggest Vyasa was inspired by Homer. (For the sake of my sanity I usually pretend I haven't read that 😆).
And just that every civilization has a record of this war. It's mostly just one line, or one number, but they do have something everywhere. Also, the war wasn't as "worldwide" as they say. Only the Eurasian continent.
I don't think they missed it. You'll defo find a record of the war around that time of 1400-1200BCE. They probably did not highlight it kyunki it didn't directly affect them.
