How to use textures in signatures:

You need to know how to make signatures, so please learn that before you get to this step. 😛

I'm using a texture made by northerndawn at DA.
And CS 6.
This should work in just about any PS though.


Step 1: You should have your sig ready with the PSD and blending done.



Step 2: Now, you drag the image or texture you want to use like in the following picture. Keep it over all the layers. And go to edit>free transform and make sure it sits right on top of the sig you're making.



Step 3: Now, it's all black, right? So, you click on the blend modes and change the "normal" to either lighten or screen (does that in the picture above.)I usually prefer screen because lighten tends to make my sig very bright and white.



Step 4: Now, you're done, so you either press enter key on your keyboard OR click on the part where the tick is on the top right of the screen.




AND YOU'RE DONE! 😃

I usually work more on the sig, by adding either bokeh textures or lights onto my sigs and the text! 😃😛
