Sticky Notes Rationale

I have a question about the sticky notes. How do you decide if the topic should or should not be sticky?

I have seen two postings, future predictions after Manas' return and Want to be Casting director, as sticky but do not get the reason for those being sticky. Can someone from GM or knowledgeable shed some light here, please.

Yes Chikoo. All the posts which answer the usual querries of a new member are made as a sticky posts. Like the gallery, updates so that they can easily be found & read etc.

The two topics that you named have been posted to generate discussion among members. Earlier, as a policy of IF, it was decided that all the mods and the viewbies of any section will actively contribute towards starting discussions in a section by posting topics which are interesting and encourage members to post in their views. Most of these topics relate to the happenings in the serial, but sometimes some of the topics are an attempt at humour too to lighten the atmosphere.These topics are beside the once which are regularly posted by other members and the moderators themselves concerning the daily happenings in the serial. These are often pre decided topics posted after discussion under discussion of the week theme.

For example, in JJKN section, each week three such topics used to be posted. Lately all the viewbies and Mods are on vacation, so it's on hold.

I must congratulate Sree and Akshata who have tried to keep the practice alive as most of the other sections barring a few are not able to follow it so deligently. It needs a lot of effort, time and dedication to carry out such duties which are not really a part of the mod duty.
