Chapter 32:
Sakshi: doctor, please suggest something. You have handled this sort of cases earlier.
Doctor: I'll try my best, but tell me about the patient. What is her mental state right now?
Sakshi: his doctor, the victim is a male. He's around 27. Though he was not completely violated but it was a painful experience. He has blade marks, bite marks nail marks all over his body and I think he's blaming himself.
Doctor: the matter is sensitive. It has to be, in case of males the molestation cases are more severe. How much physically strong they appear they are emotionally very vulnerable. And as you said it appeared to be pure torture. Was it out of fun or..?
Sakshi: the enjoyment element was there, no doubt but he was actually forced to undergo this.
Doctor: then I'll say be by his side. He'll try to shove you off but don't let that happen, at this time love, support and care is all what is needed. And if he has any girl in his life then I'd recommend them to you know... I'd be difficult and traumatic for him in the beginning but later it would help to erase the painful memory and dirty feelings from his mind with the new experience.
Sakshi: I'll see to that doctor thank you.
Sakshi went to meet a psychiatrist, who would help her regarding Arjun's condition. She purposely didn't say it was her husband's case, she didn't know how others would take it and right now she didn't want further problems for Arjun. She didn't disclose the matter to anyone till now and Arjun also seemed to be avoiding her since that night. She was returning to office wondering about it when her reverie was broken by Arnav's call which commanded her to go to his office immediately.
Arman had just finished going through the video. And what he heard shook him to the core. Advay was his little brother his favourite doll, and now that doll was torn apart by that viscious girl, Ragini.
Arman: what is this dad?
Arnav: I don't know Arman, I feel like killing those people right now with my own hands. I can't even begin to imagine what Advay has been through.
Arman: Ragini did in still many wrong things in his mind, God knows how he'll take it. She's completely mad she wants to get him at any cost. She literally forced him, she knew when it comes to Sakshi he wouldn't even think about himself.
Arnav: is it only Sakshi? She'd have used any one of us still the result would have been same. She was puting in his mind that he's not worthy of being loved. And having a life devoid of it he seemed to believe her. Did you hear it properly she said that we don't love him, and will disown him.
Arman: I did leave him dad. If I hadn't done that, his life would have been different.
Arnav: he doesn't blame you, he himself said that remember?
Arman: that's the bigger problem dad. He doesn't blame anyone else but blames himself. He doesn't share anything with anyone. Dad he just breathes, he doesn't live. I never thought that my brother would become like this one day.
Arnav: no body did Arman. But we don't have any control over fate what to do?
Their talks were interrupted by a knock, Sakshi entered into the room and was surprised to see Arman there. But before she could ask anything they handed her a camera.
Sakshi quietly watched the video, though she had got a briefing earlier of the whole incident, but it was painful to hear what had actually happened, she thanked all her stars that the visual parts were not there, firstly she couldn't see Arjun in some one else's arms and secondly she couldn't see her torturing him.
Arman and Arnav keenly watched Sakshi's face, her face held many emotions together. Guilt, disappointment, anger, pain everything all at the same time. They saw how towards the end Sakshi's eyes were brimming. And as the video ended she kept the camera aside and closing her eyes, she took a deep breath to control the sob which tried to escape her throat.
Arman: please don't judge him Sakshi, he's not at fault. I know he didn't disclose anything but...
Sakshi: I knew about this.
Arnav: how?
Sakshi: Arjun told me, that very night, he confessed all of it. He felt he was cheating on me that's why he said, and other than that he felt himself unworthy of me. But it wasn't his fault, it was mine he was forced to beer all of it because of me.
The situation Arnav thought they were in was much more complicated than his thought. Advay was already in a self loathing phase, and he didn't know what to do.
Arnav: I don't know what to do?
Sakshi: today I went to a psychiatrist, who is experienced in this matter.
Both Arnav and Arman's eyes shone with a new ray of hope. She told them what the doctor suggested and they understood that this is not going to be easy.
By evening all were at home. At first Arman, Arnav and Sakshi thought about hiding the matter from Ayesha and Sameer but since Arman couldn't hide it from Ridhi, and Sakshi and Arnav felt it was not right to hide something from your better half so they told everything to all three of them.
Anger built inside them, for all of them Arjun was like a brother and when someone dares to harm him how can they remain calm.
But that's when it dawned them that Arjun was not at home. Upon asking uncle they got another shock.
Uncle: you don't know? He got a sudden severe attack, so he's admitted to the hospital. I think surgery is going on.
Sakshi could interpret what he was talking about but others were completely blank. She promised to inform them about it later and rushed to the hospital.
Doctor: I'd not raise your hopes. But chances are really less.Even if he survives then also there can be side effects. Memory loss is the biggest probability. Hope for the best, I'm doing my best.
Sakshi explained others about Arjun's medical condition. A thunder bolt struck all of them especially the Raichands. A sudden guilt enveloped them that how did they miss it. He was in pain and they never saw it.
The surgery went for hours only one person was allowed to stay back, so Sakshi remained and the others left. All were now deep in thought as to what was Arjun for them.
For Sakshi, Arjun meant her life. She loved her name Tani. She joined ETF because of him, to find Advay, that time she couldn't even guess in her wildest dreams that Arjun and Advay were same. His rude nature did hurt her many times but soon she got to know about his tragic life, and couldn't help but sympathise with him. Getting attracted to him was something she never planned. Their first kiss ignited new feelings in her, she understood her love for him and then they got married. The marriage was not a dream marriage, Arjun being a gentleman fulfilled all his duties. Getting back baba, and bhaiya was also because of him. But suddenly everything changed when the veil was lifted that Arjun and Advay were same. It pained her a lot to see how fun loving, full of life Advay changed so such. Advay was her best friend. He taught her to smile, to live life and now he only lost his smile. But loosing him once again was something she couldn't afford. And this time destiny won't be able to snatch away her love.
For Arnav, Advay was his little son. He never thought he'd be so attached to that small bundle of joy, he was not that attached to Arman also, his first child. Maybe after his wife's demise he had to take care of that infant that's why. He thought it would be difficult, he thought he wouldn't be able to live without his wife but he was wrong. That small baby not only filled their lives with joy but also gave them strength to keep fighting. As he grew up he became his mother's replica, loving and living was his motto. He was too good to reside in this cruel world. Arnav's parents were dead. And his in-laws didn't like Advay. They considered him as an unlucky omen for whom their daughter had to die. Arnav had told them many times not to say such things in front of Advay to which they agreed but their actions did show their hatred. There was huge difference between the treatment Arman used to get and what Advay received. Since they were not ready to accept their grandson left with no other option he had to send Advay abroad for his safety. But he never told them that he was ragged. He always seemed to be happy. Maybe at that young age only he had learnt to hide his emotions. But that attack changed everything. Arjun was someone else. He liked Arjun's skills his determination and dedication but there was something else in the story too. Arjun was too mysterious to handle. The biggest shock he got till date was Arjun and Advay to be the same person. But he pledged he had lost his son once this time he wouldn't let that happen.
For Arman, Advay was not only a younger brother but a best friend too, The best companion. They didn't spend all the years growing up together but they did share a strong bond. He knew how his maternal grandparents hated his brother and because of that reason he also didn't like to stay with them. Advay had a different take to life. How much bad the situation would be still he was able to find something positive in that. Encouraging people giving them motive was what he could do very well. Their age difference was quite large but still they could bond well. But the one decision he'd regret forever was that he left him alone, he could still visualise the hope, pain and agony in Advay's eyes before he jumped off. Arjun was his guardian angel. He not only rescued him from the clutches of those evil doctors but also made him fit. He had an liking towards him. He seemed something different. Being a stranger also he did so much for them. And the time when he allowed Arjun to call him bhai, his heart felt happy he felt what he did was right. And now he knew why it was right. He had failed to protect his brother once that won't repeat again.
For Samridhi, she was his Ridhi. At first when she saw him he was her half sister Ragini's friend. She was herself on a mission so she didn't pay much attention to him. Apart from that she considered him to be another of Ragini's prey. But she was amazed that how one day he saved her from getting caught, otherwise she'd have been dead by now. That's how they bonded. Slowly their bond strengthened. Arjun was a brother which she never had. Soon Arjun became her life support she couldn't even think of doing anything without him. Taking decisions, sharing things first option would always be him. She got her love also because of him.The secret of him being Advay was actually a pleasant one for her. Though not brother he'd be her brother in law. Arjun had done a lot for her and this is the time to return some of the favours.
For Sameer, he was Sam. His Sam. Nobody else could call him that. He and Arman were fast friends and from him he had heard a lot about Advay. And had developed a liking towards him. They had long phone chats many times but he had always missed to meet him personally. He met Arjun during the training years. His illusive personality attracted him and in no time they were good friends. For him he became his younger brother. And he felt a sense of duty towards him. But All this broke when Roshni died. He ruthlessly blamed him for her death. He broke the friendship, the brotherhood he himself cherished. He can't even think how much his words have had an impact on Arjun's mind. He knew he had hurt him a lot and made a promise to himself that from now onwards Arjun would not face any problems, and he'd never leave his side.
For Ayesha, he was her senior. Arjun Sir whom at first she hated, then respected, then loved. He was a brotherly figure for her. Though he never accepted or said aloud his actions showed how much he cared for all of them. After all he was the one who knocked some sense in Sameer to propose her. Her relationship with Arjun was not as strong as compared to others but still she always wished for his well being. She was Sakshi's best friend and Sameer's fiancee so in that relation she was Arjun's sister in law in both ways. And that's enough for her to wish for his happiness.
Here Arjun was inside the OT, fighting for his life, the doctors were giving him defibrillator shocks so as not to loose him.
